Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 90,000 from early position and Igor Kurganov shipped all in for 665,000 in the small blind. Michael Addamo was int he big blind and thought for a minute before making the call. Thorel stepped aside and the two hands were tabled.
Kurganov was well out front with his pocket queens but the flop of turned the tide in favor of Adams. The on the turn and the on the river sealed the deal for Adams as Kurganov was eliminated. Adams was able to recover most of the chips he previously lost in a pot with Rainer Kempe.
