In 2007, no one had a better World Series of Poker than Tom Schneider, who finished as Player of the Year. Last year, Schneider returned to prominence when he won two more gold bracelets to top off a superb 2013. Unfortunately for Schneider, his 2014 WSOP was the polar opposite.
Schneider talked to PokerNews earlier today about his dry summer, but that he had high hopes for the Main Event.
Those hopes just died however due to a bad beat from Sam Abueid. We missed the betting, but we do know that Schneider got his chips in as a heavy favorite.
Schneider held the superior ace, but that changed when the flop delivered Abueid a pair of jacks. The turn was no help to Schneider, and he was collecting his things even before the river improved Abueid to trips.
"Good luck," Schneider offered before exiting the 2014 WSOP.
