Ace-High Good For Middleton

YorkshirePud • Level 11: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Tom Middletion raised to 2,000 from the button and Jason Koon called from the big blind. As we were preparing for a monster hand between two of poker's greatest minds, the pair checked down the {2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

"King-high," declared Koon who then mucked when Middleton showed him {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Early Bad Beat for Gross

[user269680] • Level 11: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Jeff Gross couldn't believe his luck early here on Day 2, as he is facing the only floor monitor in the room that isn't showing the United States World Cup game. That monitor is reserved for the tournament clock. "So sick," Gross said, in reference to his table draw.

Jain Active Early

[user269680] • Level 11: 500-1,000, 100 ante

With just four players at his table, chip leader Shashank Jain has been active early, seemingly opening every pot. He also took an early pot from tablemate Josh Schoonover, who started the day third in chips.
