We caught the action as Will Failla (cutoff) had called a raise of what looked like 25,000 from Jean-Pascal Savard in the big blind.
Despite the huge pot created preflop, the action postflop was not as exciting as both players checked down the board. Savard bet 20,000 on the arrival of the river and Failla quickly folded.
"Nice river," said Failla, but Savard refused to confirm or deny if the river had helped him and he mucked his hand.
A short while later, Failla claimed to have "had the board beaten until the river" and later still that he held pocket queens.
