Berda Takes Small Bite Out of Offord

With about 300,000 in the middle, Donald Offord and Tomer Berda were tangling in a hand with the board reading {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Berda called Offord's bet of 200,000 on the turn. WIth the {7-Spades} coming down on the river, Offord checked and Berda threw 200,000 into the pot, causing Offord to fold.

Berda continued to throw his weight around by three-betting Offord into a preflop fold on the next hand.

Hugh Bell Eliminated in 7th Place ($65,097)

Hugh Bell
Hugh Bell

Hugh Bell couldn't have gotten his chips in any better, but in the end it didn't do him any good. When he raised preflop and faced a re-raise from David Tuthill, he called, putting himself all in.

Bell: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Tuthill: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop didn't bring much of a sweat when it came {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, but the {9-Diamonds} on the turn brought plenty for Bell to worry about. The {10-Diamonds} on the river gave Tuthill a set, as well as the best hand.

Tuthill is now up to 3,070,000 and maintains a 1,0000 chip lead over his nearest opponent.

Earth to Vincent: It's Your Turn!

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Praz Bansi bet 130,000 and was re-raised to 300,000 by Donald Offord. Jacques wasn't aware that it was his turn and looked to be thinking for about five minutes until snapping back to reality and folding.

David "Doc" Sands Eliminated in 8th Place ($49,409)

David Sands
David Sands

David Sands was sitting as the short stack when he went all in for about 575,000 chips. Praz Bansi re-raised, putting himself all in, and Donald Offord thought for a while before folding.

Sands: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Bansi: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Sands was in dire need of some help from the dealer, but he didn't get any as the board ran {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, giving Bonsi the best of the two full houses and enough chips to climb out of the danger zone.

Tuthill Putting Stack to Good Use

David Tuthill has a chip lead of close to 1,000,000 and is employing an aggressive approach. In a recent hand he raised on the button to 100,000 and was called by Donald Offord in the small blind and Tomer Berda in the big blind. When the flop came {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} the blinds check-folded to Tuthill's bet of 180,000

Bell Bangs His Way to 800K

Vincent Jacques may have kicked off the post-dinner shoving, but Hugh Bell was the first to double up. The chips were all in preflop in this hand between Bell and David Tuthill.

Bell: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Tuthill: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Bell got all the help he needed on the flop when it came {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and avoided falling behind when the turn came {j-Hearts} followed by {5-Hearts} on the river.
