Ikonen Hit By Busse

Shawn Busse opened with a raise to 140,000 from the button, and Pekka Ikonen called from the big blind.

The flop came {5-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}. Ikonen quickly led out with a bet of 275,000, and Busse sat for two minutes staring ahead at the board. Finally he reached down and carved out a raise of 625,000. Ikonen took that as sufficient reason to let his hand go.

It folded to Pekka Ikonen who announced he was all in from the small blind. Having just been crippled down to his last 275,000 in that hand with Chuan Shi, Jin made the call with his remaining chips from the big blind.

Ikonen showed {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Jin {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. The board came {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Jin was eliminated.

Ikonen is now sitting with close to 2 million, which puts him right in the thick of things with four players left.

Four to the Flop

Wenlong Jin limped in from the cutoff -- something we haven't seen much of at all at this final table -- and Chuan Shi called behind him on the button. Both blinds decided to come along as well, Shawn Busse in the small and Owen Crowe in the big.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. It checked to Jin who bet 110,000 and only Crowe decided to stick around for more. The turn came the {A-Spades}, and both players checked.

The river then brought the {5-Spades}. Crowe fired 200,000 into the middle, and Jin thought a moment before letting it go.

Crowe is back out in front with about 2.9 million, and Jin has 1.42 million.

Preflop Pushing from Ikonen

Pekka Ikonen
Pekka Ikonen

The last two hands saw preflop three-bets from Pekka Ikonen, and both times the reraises were good enough for the Finnish player to take the pots.

On the first Chuan Shi raised to 150,000, and a 390,000 reraise from Pekka Ikonen chased Shi out. On the next, Owen Crowe made to 140,000 from the button, and Ikonen's reraise to 400,000 from the small blind did the trick again.

Ikonen moves up close to 1.6 million after those two hands.
