Odell Takes Chip Lead from Trickett

[user101598]

With the board reading {3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades}, action checked to Samuel Trickett who bet 58,000. Kevin Odell called and all other parties folded.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Trickett tanked for over a minute before firing 84,000. Odell quickly moved all in. Unhappy, Trickett clenched his fists before sweating his cards one more time and releasing them.

"Ace-queen of clubs!" tablemate Alex Outhred blurted.

His prodding worked, because Odell showed {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a winning flush. Trickett slipped to just below 500,000 chips and Odell is our leader with 690,000

Big Slick for Conley

[user4144]

Justin Conley opened to 20,000 from under the gun and found three callers in Simon Ravnsbaek, Peter Dawson, and Francois Safieddine, the latter in the big blind.

Flop: {2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

After Safieddine and Conley had both checked, Ravnsbaek bet 31,000. Only Conley called.

Turn: {5-Diamonds}

Conley led for 45,000, Ravnsbaek called.

River: {5-Spades}

Conley checked, Ravnsbaek moved all in for around 100,000 and Conley immediately called.

Conley showed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Ravnsbaek mucked his hand.

Conley up to 480,000.

King Dethroned

[user4144]

Lasell King has been eliminated in a classic coin flip, {A-}{Q-} unable to improve against the {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} of Thomas Bichon on an ensuing {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} board. Bichon now up to 400,000.

Croffut Doubles Through Hodge

[user101598]

Adam Croffut opened from under the gun and was faced with a re-raised to 75,000 from Sean Hodge on the button. Croffut called.

The flop fell {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Croffut instantly moved all in for 172,000. Hodge called.

"You have a pair?" Croffut asked sheepishly.

"Yup," Hodge said opening {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Croffut showed a better pair, {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and his jacks held after the turn and river came {10-Clubs}, {6-Diamonds} respectively.

Hodge slipped to 295,000 chips while Croffut doubled through to 515,000.

Ross Eliminated

[user4144]

Kenneth Ross was like a dwarf without a parachute: short and desperate, and when he pushed all in for his final 20,000 with {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, he received an inevitable call from Jesse Rockowitz who held {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Board: {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Rockowtiz currently battling it out with Sam Trickett for the chip lead with around 650,000 in chips.

Tran Flushed Away

Theo Tran was all in preflop on Table 369 and received one caller; Michael Meerkreebs.

Showdown
Tran: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Meerkreebs: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} was a scary flop for Tran, and he threw his hands up in disgust. The {3-Clubs} on the turn was a brick, but the {8-Hearts} on the river completed Meerkreebs' flush and eliminated Tran from the tournament.

Tran angrily splashed the remainder of his chips into the pot before standing up from his chair.

"I folded an ace," tablemate Josh Brikis said. Someone else admitted to folding a jack as well.

"Oh really? That's awesome," Tran said with a sarcastic tone.

Meerkreebs silently stacked his newfound chips, and now sits with 435,000.

Swan Song

[user4144]

Andrew Song is one of a handful of players who have bitten the dust of late, the others being Anthony Consumano, Andras Kovacs, and the flamboyantly named (although I expect he would have been nicknamed 'control v' within media circles) Zsolt Cserhati.

Markovitch KO'd by Trickett

[user101598]
Sam Trickett
Sam Trickett

Samuel Trickett opened to 23,000 from middle position before Omer Markovitch moved all in for just under 200,000 on the button. Trickett called tabling {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was racing against Markovitch's {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop was tremendous for Trickett and after the {7-Hearts} turned the hand was over. The {3-Spades} on the river made it official, and Trickett was shipped Markovitch's stack to increase his own to nearly 700,000 chips.

Meanwhile, Markovitch is off to the cage to collect his winnings.
