Kathy Liebert Gets Some Help

Kathy Liebert pushed all-in from middle position, Amir Vahedi raised to 3500 from the button and both blinds folded. Vahedi showed 3-3 and Liebert showed K-10. Liebert was ready to put her coat on when the board came 9-8-7-6-7, giving her a straight and some much needed help.

Teddy Sheringham off the Soccer Field to the Felt

Teddy Sheringham has enjoyed one of the longest running careers in soccer history. However, it now appears that he is turning his attention to another competitive sport, poker. He was spotted playing in the tournament and having a good time of it. If he does as well at poker as he has at soccer, we will see a lot more of him.

On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, the small blind bets 2,500. T.J. Cloutier in the big blind raises to 4,000 and the small blind calls. The turn is the {4-Clubs}. The small blind goes all in and Cloutier calls for his last 8,000. Cloutier has {J-Spades}{Q-Spades} and his opponent has {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. The river is {A-Diamonds} and Cloutier is out.

"I couldn't believe you had a king in that position," Cloutier says.
After he leaves, another player says, "I can't believe he put all his money in like that."

TheWacoKidd Burned

Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby flops a set of twos, but Freddy Deeb catches runner-runner for broadway. Hamby is crippled and goes out on the next hand. Deeb has 41,000.

Michael Gracz Slays the Dragon

Just before the break, on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, David "The Dragon" Pham in the cutoff bets 1200. Michael Gracz in middle position makes it 6,200 and Pham calls. Before a turn card can be flipped, Gracz shoves the rest of his chips in. The turn is {5-Clubs} and Pham calls. Pham has {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a flush draw and Gracz has {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Pham is out.
