"kleinebakker007" just became the latest PokerStars 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker after he topped a field of 3,835 total entries in Event-64-M: $530 NLHE [Progressive KO], $1M GTD to walk away with the $210,519 ($116,993 + $93,526 in bounties) first-place prize.
The two-day tournament came with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000, though that number was smashed by a wide margin, with a massive $1,917,000 being up for grabs. The prize pool was shared across the 557 players that made it into the money, a feat that was accomplished in the later stages of Day 1.
"kleinebakker007" came into the final day sitting 11th in chips out of the 132 returning players and won a few early hands to keep that sack at bay. From there he steadily gained chips throughout the final day and brought a top-two stack into the final table.
It was there where "kleinebakker007" really gained momentum as they eliminated five of their final eight opponents en-route to victory.

The final day saw 132 players return for Day 2 with each player already guaranteed to walk away with least at $1,014. From the first second the virtual cards went in the air virtual bodies started dropping like wildfire as over half the field was eliminated by the second break of the day.
Even though only 44 players remained after the break, players continued with their bounty hunting as notable's Thiago "KKremate" Crema (29th - $2,142 + $4,128.91 in bounties), Mikolaj "T3G3S" Zawadzki (28th - $2,142 + $1,265.63 in bounties) and Sung Joo "Koreanmonkey" Hyun (27th - $2,142 + $1,816.41 in bounties) hit the rail before the next break period.
The steamroll continued and the remaining familiar faces in the field started disappearing as, Matthias "MLS20" Lipp (20th place - $3,029 + $4,990.24 in bounties), Hristo "icho90" Anastassov (17th - $2,142 + $10,140 in bounties), Jorge "jorginho88" Abreun (16th - $2,142 + $6,843.74 in bounties) and Day 1 chip leader Tomas "MASUR0N1KE" Kubaliakn (15th - $2,142 + $3,300.78 in bounties) all departed, leaving just Henrique "Zanetti89" Zanetti as the last know player.
Zanetti held a healthy chip stack when only twelve players remained but he found himself in a tough spot, leaving himself with just over one big blind as he would fall the very next hand in 10th place setting the stage for the final table.
Final Table Action
"OstapBender8" utilized their chip stack from the moment final table play started as they eliminated "CPalCR" in ninth place and "JevoKar" followed shortly in eighth place.
When seven players remained, "kleinebakker007" started to go on an elimination spree. They sent "BigM_King17" home in seventh place after turning trip fives and eliminated "blackaces93" after they flopped the nuts in a limped pot.

In what would be the final hand of the tournament, "kleinebakker007" opened for 2,640,000 and then called the 8,400,000 three-bet from "OstapBender8".
Once the flop appeared, "OstapBender8" continued for 4,250,000 and "kleinebakker007" called bringing the turn.
"OstapBender8" led out once again this time for 14,080,000 and "kleinebakker007" called to see the complete the board on the river.
"OstapBender8" slowed down and checked to "kleinebakker007" who moved all in for 91,526,828. "OstapBender8" took a few moments in the tank, then called off their 46,631,172 stack and the two players revealed their hands.
"OstapBender8" showed for two-pair but it was no good as "kleinebakker007" turned trips with sending "OstapBender8" to the rail in second place for $142,568 ($116,989 + $25,579 in bounties).
The final two players are on a quick five-minute break.
"kleinebakker007" opened for 2,500,000 and then called the 23,847,024 three-bet jam from "DatWillDoPig".
"DatWillDoPig" was behind the made hand of "kleinebakker007" and nothing changed after the flop.
The turn gave "DatWillDoPig" a little more life with the wheel draw but the completed the board on the river and ended their tournament in third place for $72,245.84 ($68,531 + $3,714.84 in bounties).
Action quickly folded to "kleinebakker007" who raised to 2,200,000 from the small blind and "Mr.LuckyMan88" defended their big blind to see a flop.
"kleinebakker007" continued for 1,617,000 and "Mr.LuckyMan88" raised to 4,520,000. "kleinebakker007" three-bet all in for 93,168,921 and "Mr.LuckyMan88" called off their remining 20,183,608 stack.
"Mr.LuckyMan88" thought they were getting it in good after flopping two-pair but they were way nehind the flopped set of "kleinebakker007".
The turn however, kept "Mr.LuckyMan88" alive with the diamond flush draw but the river ended their tournament in fourth place for $60,857 ($48,459 + $12,398 in bounties).
Action folded around to "OstapBender8" who raised to 2,400,000 from the small blind and then called the 16,353,126 three-bet jam "doulas12" made from the big blind.
"doulas12" was behind holding live cards but they didn't connect with the runout and their tournament ended in fifth place for $42,606.76 ($34,265 + $8,341.76 in bounties).
