No Coconuts for Kassouf

Jaxon • Level 25: 20,000-40,000, 40,000 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

William Kassouf jammed for 410,000 from late position. The action folded around to Noel Broadbent in the big blind.

"Will you show me one if I fold?" asked Broadbent.

"I have two jacks," said Kassouf. "One red and one black."

Broadbent called and Kassouf was half correct.

William Kassouf: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Neil Broadbent: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

"Punish him," said Kassouf.

It looked like Kassouf would get his wish as the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop put him in the lead.

However, the {a-Diamonds} came on the turn to give Broadbent the advantage in the hand once again.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Kassouf was eliminated.

Cesar Santos Carretero was also eliminated on another table.

Zaman with an Unlikely Double

lukemaskell94 • Level 25: 20,000-40,000, 40,000 ante

Martin Tse opened to 100,000 from under the gun. Lawrence Cullen called from the cutoff.
Tabish Zaman then pushed all in from the big blind. Tse re-raised all-in and Cullen folded.

Zaman looked to be in bad shape with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} against Tse's {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

However, a run out of {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} gave Zaman the cards he needed to keep his tournament alive.

Pooles Ousts Bissai-Logbo

Jaxon • Level 25: 20,000-40,000, 40,000 ante

Alain Bissai-Logbo opened for 90,000 from the cutoff and was called by chip leader Callum Pooles on the button.

Bissai-Logbo check-called a bet of 125,000 after the {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} came on the flop and check-called for 225,000 after the {q-Spades} came on the turn.

Bissai-Logbo checked one last time after the {q-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Pooles bet enough to cover the around 450,000 Bissai-Logbo had behind.

Bissai-Logbo was asking about pay jumps before he made the call.

Pooles turned over {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for the flush. Bissai-Logbo took about 20 seconds before he flipped over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and headed to the cashier after losing the hand. to his opponent's flush.

Poulengeris Knocked Out

lukemaskell94 • Level 25: 20,000-40,000, 40,000 ante

It was a tough couple of hands for Antonis Poulengeris.

In the first, he open jammed all in from under the gun with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} but Bartas Samoska woke up with {a-Spades}{j-Spades} in the highjack and re-jammed.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Poulengeris was left with a measly 50,000 chips.

Next hand, he was in the big blind so was automatically all in due to the 40,000 big blind ante.

Cesar Santos Carretero shoved from middle position with {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Poulengeris was ahead with {k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} but a flop of {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} quickly changed that. The turn of {6-Spades} and river of {7-Clubs} were of no help and Poulengeris was eliminated.

"Save me a seat in the tournament," said McCulloch.

He was referring to the turbo side event that had two minutes left in late registration.

The players in the blinds folded and McCulloch was eliminated after he failed to connect to the {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Spades} board.
