Isizugo Hits a Flush for a Big One

lukemaskell94 • Level 27: 30,000-60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Isizugo tangled in a large pot with Valentin Ghioca.

Ghioca opened from under the gun to 160,000. Callum Pooles called from the cut-off and Isizugo came along in the big blind.

Three players went to a flop of {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} which they all checked.

A turn of {a-Spades} created some action, Isizugo check-called a 300,000 bet and Pooles folded.

The river seemed to be an inconsequential {7-Clubs}. Again, Isizugo checked. Almost immediately, Ghioca announced "all-in". Isizugo snap-called and turned over {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for the nut-flush. Ghioca showed {6-}{6-} for 5th pair which went straight into the muck.

Final Table Bubble

Jaxon • Level 27: 30,000-60,000, 60,000 ante

There are just 10 players left after the elimination of Shabir Malik. The final table will be set after one more player hits the rail.

Malik's Dream is Over

Jaxon • Level 27: 30,000-60,000, 60,000 ante

Shabir Malik was on his way to a comeback. He took his 100,000 stack up to 500,000 but this is where the Cinderella story ends.

He jammed with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and was called by Lawrence Cullen with {5-}{5-}.

The board bricked and instead of reaching a seven-figure stack, Malik hit the rail instead.

Vouksenmaa Eliminated

Jaxon • Level 27: 30,000-60,000, 60,000 ante

Alexandru-Dan Toporeanu jammed from middle position for about 700,000 before Unibet Poker Finnish Ambassador Jorma Vouksenmaa called off his stack of 500,000 from the cutoff.

Alexandru-Dan Toporeanu: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Jorma Vouksenmaa: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flip was on but Vouksenmaa was unable to come out ahead with the {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} running out on the board.

Meanwhile, Richard Lazarus was eliminated at the same time at another table.

Khan Cleaned Out

lukemaskell94 • Level 27: 30,000-60,000, 60,000 ante

During the 30,000/60,000/60,000 blind level, Bartas Samoska opened from middle position to 125,000 and was called on the button. Yadur Khan then shoved all in from the big blind for 895,000. Samoska pushed all in for around 1,000,000 and then the button folded.

Yadur Khan: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Bartas Samoska: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

A run out of {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} gave Khan no help and he was sent to the rail.

Malik's Bold Prediction

Jaxon • Level 26: 25,000-50,000, 50,000 ante

Shabir Malik wanted to make sure PokerNews noted he was down to just four big blinds. He has been blinding off the last few orbits.

"I want to make note of my stack for when I come back to win this," Malik said with a big smile.

Pooles in a Pool of Chips

Callum Pooles

In one of the biggest pots of the day, Noel Broadbent opened to 140,000 from under the gun. Callum Pooles three-bet from the big blind.

Broadbent quickly shoved over the top for around 1.5 million and was snap-called by Pooles.

Noel Broadbent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Callum Pooles: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

A run out of {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} gave no help to Broadbent and he was sent to the rail.

Callum Pooles now has more than a quarter of chips in play.

Shortly after, David Rudling was ousted in 16th place.
