YorkshirePud • Level 18: 200,000-400,000, 40,000 ante

Matthew Bushell has just doubled through CMR16 in a hand that saw the latter relinquish the chip lead.

CMR16 opened to 1,200,000 before calling Bushell's 4,743,514 shove. Bushell showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and CMR16 {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Bushell flopped a boat on the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board to propel himself to almost 10 million chips (25 big blinds)

YorkshirePud • Level 17: 150,000-300,000, 30,000 ante

RipitandShipit has bought themselves a little more time by doubling through CMR16.

CMR16 opened to 600,000 and called when RipitandShipit shoved for 1,302,700 from the small blind. It was {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for RipitandShipit versus {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for CMR16. The five community cards fell {5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the pot went to RipitandShipit.

The Clash of the Big Stacks

YorkshirePud • Level 17: 150,000-300,000, 30,000 ante

We almost had a game-changing hand because the table's two biggest stacks collided.

CMR16 raised to 900,000 from late position, Whytestar called in the cutoff, and Matthew Bushell called from the small blind. The flop came down {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, Bushell checked, and CMR16 continued with a 1,500,000 bet. Whytestar wasted no time in raising to 3,300,000, a bet that quickly folded out Bushell.

CMR16 went into the tank for more than 40 seconds, before reemerging with a fold.

Had all the chips gone in at that point, it would have been all but game over the the rest of the finalists.

hazvi74 Eliminated in 8th place (£5,173)

YorkshirePud • Level 16: 125,000-250,000, 25,000 ante

Hazvi74 had been nursing a short stack for a while, but is battling no longer. They committed the last of their chips with {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} and found a caller in the shape of Whytestar holding the dominating {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. A {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board sent hazvi74 home in eighth place.

The Rich Get Richer

YorkshirePud • Level 16: 125,000-250,000, 25,000 ante

CMR16 is in danger of running away with final table because they have more than 23 million chips.

Philip Baker opened to 520,000 and CMR16 called in the small blind. CMR16 check-called a 750,000 bet on the {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and checked again on the {6-Hearts} turn. Baker bet 1,700,000 only to see CMR16 check-raise to 7,650,000. Baker let his shot clock time down before folding.
