Wrang's Flop Check-Raise Takes Down Pot

YorkshirePud • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded around to Jannick Wrang in the small blind and he decided to simply complete. Fabrice Soulier was in the big blind and he pumped up the action to 145,000 and Wrang called.

The pair shared a flop reading {3-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Wrang checked. Soulier tested the waters with a bet of 175,000 but he could not have folded quicker when Wrang check-raised to 430,000.

After the blistering start to the level play has slowed down a little. The last orbit has seen the pots either taken down preflop or with a standard continuation bet on the flop. Olivier Busquet is getting quite short now but he is a the master at playing with 10-25 big blinds thanks to his heads-up sit 'n' go background.

Soulier Check-Raises Botond Off a Pot

[user76023] • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Balazs Botond raised to 125,000 from UTG and Fabrice Soulier made the call from the big blind to see a dry-looking {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Soulier checked and the Hungarian came in with a 150,000 continuation bet but Soulier check-raised to 330,000 and Botond quickly folded.

Soulier Shoves On Busquet

YorkshirePud • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Olivier Busquet's slide continues and he is now down to 25 big blinds. Fabrice opened the betting with a raise from UTG to 135,000. Busquet was in the small blind and he three-bet to 325,000 and when the big blind got out of the way Soulier moved all-in for 4,395,000 though the effective stack was half of that.

Busquet looked pained in his decisions and asked Soulier, "You got one of those weird hands?" before saying "I wish I didn't watch that Epic Poker event," referring to the third place finish Soulier managed in the last Epic Poker event.

"Just let me call," Busquet said to himself but he did not let himself call because he folded, showing a {Q-} as he did so.

"It was that close," continued Busquet and Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov in the commentary box said he thinks Busquet must have held king-queen.

Wrang Wrings More Chips from Busquet

[user76023] • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Olivier Busquet limped in for 60,000 in the small blind and Jannick Wrang made it 170,000 in the big blind which Busquet called.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the American checked across to the chip leader, Wrang quickly cut a stack of yellow and blue chips and bet 185,000, Busquet quickly called and then checked the {10-Diamonds} turn and Wrang checked back.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Busquet now led for 250,000, Wrang quickly called and Busquet showed {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Wrang turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for two pair to take the pot.

On the very first hand back from the dinner break Koen De Visscher looked down at his holecards, found {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} staring back at him and decided to move all in for 1,070,000. The action folded to Fabrice Soulier and he made the call with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

The {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop kept the ace-high of De Visscher ahead but the {K-Spades} on the turn completely turned the hand on its head and when the river was the {10-Diamonds} De Visscher's tournament was over.
