Julius & O'Dwyer Busted

Action folded to Erik Seidel in the hijack and he put in a raise, John Juanda flatted from the cutoff, and Kyle Julius, who finished runner-up in the 2012 PCA Main Event, three-bet to 14,200 in the big blind. Seidel responded with a four-bet to 34,000, Julius five-bet to 62,800, and then Seidel six-bet 100,000. Julius wasted little time in seven-betting all in for around 190,000, and Seidel made the call.

Julius was in a rough spot and in need of some help, most notable an ace. The {9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop didn't contain an ace, but it did give Julius Broadway outs to a ten. The {7-Spades} turn wasn't what he was looking for, and neither was the {J-Spades} river. After the stacks were verified, Julius made a hasty exit from the tournament floor.

Meanwhile, Steve O'Dwyer was eliminated at a nearby table. Unfortunately we didn't catch the details as it occurred at the same time as Julius' elimination, but he did shed some light on Twitter:

It looks like O'Dwyer will be rebuying, but no word yet on whether or not Julius will be abck.

Katchalov Takes One From McDonald

[user72235] • Level 2: 600-1,200, 200 ante

Eugene Katchalov opened the hand in the hijack seat with a 3,000 raise and was called by Anatoly Gurtovoy in the cutoff. Action folded to Mike McDonald in the big blind who called as well and the three saw the flop go {K-Spades} {9-Clubs} {4-Clubs}.

All three checked and the dealer opened the {8-Clubs} on the turn. McDonald checked again and Katchalov fired 7,000. Gurtovoy made a long and silent pause and had finally decided to let his hand go. McDonald, however, stuck around and pushed in the call.

The river brought the {8-Hearts} and McDonald checked again. Katchalov bet 17,000 and McDonald paused once again for a minute or two before folding. Katchalov mucked and collected the pot.

Chad_Holloway • Level 2: 600-1,200, 200 ante
