Pascal Hartmann has had an extremely rough day here on Day 5. Why do we say that? Well, he's had his aces cracked not once, not twice, but three times. The most recent one caused his elimination in 15th place, but let's quickly recap the others.
Earlier in the day, Joao Barbosa (17th place) doubled through Hartmann. Barbosa was all in preflop with the to Hartmann's . The board ran out and Barbosa spiked trip kings.
Later on, Hartmann paid off Steve O'Dwyer in a big pot on a final board of . Again, Hartmann held aces, but O'Dwyer held the for quads.
And now to the final hand...
Hartmann was all in preflop with the aces and up against the for Anatoly Gurtovoy. The board ran out in such a way that Gurtovoy spiked a gutshot straight on the river to eliminate Hartmann from the event.
Sometimes it's just not your day.
