Some 187 players bought into the $5,200 Titans Event on August 16, and the field was whittled to a more manageable 19 by the time Day 1 concluded. Leonard finished Day 1 second in chips with a stack of 1,620,495, trailing only "DeuceofDuc0" of the Netherlands, who was armed with a massive stack of 4,055,372 chips.

Such luminaries as Artur "marathur1" Martirosian, Viktor "papan9_p$" Ustimov, Mike "SirWatts" Watson, Bert "girafganger7" Stevens, Claas "SsicK_OnE" Segebrecht, and Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky busted out before the eight-handed final table, the latter popping the final table bubble.

Leonard's fellow Brit, Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford was the final table's first casualty. Beresford bowed out in eighth place and collected $33,578. Two Ukrainians joined Beresford in the role of spectators. "Remi Lebo_10" crashed out in seventh for $43,278 with Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak falling in sixth for a $55,779 score.

Fifth place and $71,891 went to Thiago "KKremate" Crema before Bulgarian hero Georgi "milennial" Sandev dusted off his stack and finished in fourth-place, a finish worth $92,657.

The last three players were now guaranteed a six-figure haul for their $5,200 investment. The legendary Michael "imluckbox" Addamo could not progress further than third, and had to make do with a $119,918 consolation prize. Addamo's exit left Leonard heads-up against DeuceofDuc0 for the title and the not-so-small matter of a $198,379 top prize. The popular Brit could not quite finish the job and busted in second place for $153,918, which capped off a remarkable weekend for the man from the North East.

Attention Turns To Other Huge Online Events

These latest results should see Leonard reclaim the top spot in the United Kingdom online poker rankings when the standings are updated this week. We would not bet against Leonard securing a major title in the coming weeks, especially as there are some gigantic tournaments coming up.

There are $100 million worth of guaranteed prize pools in the upcoming 2021 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP), even more value, not to mention World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, waiting over at GGPoker, plus the latest edition of the WPT World Online Championships running at Leonard's sponsor site, partypoker.
