Lillis Still Leads Irish Online Poker Rankings

UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings

Frank “Denman98” Lillis continues his reign in the Irish Online Poker Rankings, provided by PocketFives.com, although Alex “FutureofMe” Kulev has slightly narrowed the gap at the summit of the leaderboard.

Lillis, now ranked 44th in the world, bolstered his points tally with almost 196 points, and his bankroll with $5,536, after he reached the final table of the GGPoker Battle of Malta Bounty Hunters HR Main Event. It was an otherwise quiet week for the man who has been on fire for the past couple of months.

Kulev would ordinarily be the number one in Ireland had it not been for Lillis’ impressive form. Kulev closed the gap on the Galway man by finishing sixth in the $250 Sunday Monster Stack for $5,128, and ninth in the Battle of Malta: $1,050 GGMasters High Rollers for $8,635, both at GGPoker.

Elsewhere, James “Jaymo” Noonan won the PokerStars $22 Bounty Builder for more than $3,000 and put together a deep run in the $109 PokerStars Sunday Million which resulted in a $1,684 addition to his account.

Sven “SvenCalls” McDermott climbed one place to sixth on the back of a sixth-place finish in the $125 6-Max Challenge during the online Battle of Malta, a finish worth $1,653. Seventh-placed Dara “Doke” O’Kearney won the €7,500 GTD Fists of Fury rebuy at William Hill a week after winning a €10,000 guaranteed edition; O’Kearney scooped $2,592.

Proudfoot is the New UK Number One

Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot as leapfrogged Patrick “pleno1” Leonard at the top of the United Kingdom online poker rankings. Proudfoot, who is only a couple of thousand dollars away from $7.5 million in cashes, reeled in a $13,984 score in the $2,626 High Rollers Blade Mulligan at GGPoker to jump to the top of the British leaderboard. He will gain even more points because he won the $250 Daily Main Event last night for $11,598 too.

Leonard enjoyed his own five-figure haul when he finished fifth in the PokerStars $1,050 Sunday High Roller for what was $11,922 but it was not enough to stop him relinquishing his hold on the number spot. Knowing Leonard as we do, we know he will be fighting all week to reclaim top spot.

Patrick “JaegsPL” Lauber is within touching distance of a top-three place. Lauber has shown some superb consistency for the past few months, and that continued with more than $12,000 worth of cashes at GGPoker. A runner-up finish in the $525 High Rollers Daily Special and a third-place exit from the $525 Bounty Hunters HR saw him come within 88 points of third-placed Chris “moorman1” Moorman.

Will You Become Paddy Power’s Tournament MVP?

Patrick “thebigdog09” Brooks hit a little purple patch of form last week resulting in several four-figure prizes. The highlight was Brooks’ victory in the $105 Bounty Hunters Special at GGPoker which weighed in at $2,257.

Shout-out to Sam “TheSquid” Grafton who netted $19,915 at his sponsor’s site, PokerStars. Grafton was the third-place finisher in the $1,050 Sunday High Roller. Only champion Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche and Tomi “elmerixx” Brouk finished ahead of Grafton.
