Cochrane Crowned Omaholic Bounty King HR Champion

Gavin Cochrane

Gavin Cochrane added to his reputation of being one of the best pot-limit Omaha players on the planet by becoming the $3,150 Omaholic Bounty King HR champion at GGPoker.

The tournament may have only attracted 43 entrants but the entry list read like a who's who of the online poker world. Such luminaries as Isaac Haxton, Niklas Astedt, Yuri Dzivielevski, and Ami Barer bought in but failed to reach the top five finishing positions where the main prize pool was awarded.

Brazilian Dante Fernandes was the first player to receive some of the main prize pool. Fernandes busted in fifth for a combined score worth $11,363. "P0t RippeR" followed the Brazilian to the sidelines, doing so with $10,906 in tow.

Heads-up was set when Ronny Kaiser crashed out in third. The Swiss pro, who is based out of Lichtenstein, was awarded $18,142 when he ran out of steam

Cochrane butted heads with Hungarian superstar Andras Nemeth, and the match could have gone either way. It went the way of Cochrane, which meant out hero netted a total prize worth $51,988, while Nemeth walked into the night with the $29,475 consolation prize.
