You have two routes into this $20,000 guaranteed tournament, either buy in direct for $55 and receive 50,000 chips, or play you way in via the various phases that start at only $0.55.

Gary Jackson and Celimar Oliveira Da Silva are just two players who chose option number two. They progressed from their $5.50 buy-in Phase 1 with 174,416 and 164,350 chips respectively, which is more than three times the starting stack. This means both players sit down in the APAT March Main Event armed with more than 300 big blinds!

The top three finishers in the APAT March Main Event get their hands on not only a sizeable prize, but one of APAT’s coveted gold, silver, or bronze medals.

Zarriello and McTaggart Warm Up For Main Event in Style

Two APAT players became champions on the evening of March 26. Sandro Zarriello of Austria won the $33 APAT March Turbo Championship, outlasting 88 opponents on his way to banking $790.26. The tournament only took 2 hours 41 minutes from start to finish, making for an impressive hourly rate for the winner.

Paul McTaggart won the $33 APAT March PLO Championship, which was played as a progressive knockout tournament. McTaggart turned his $33 into a combined prize worth $570 in a little over three hours. No doubt McTaggart will be one of the stars competing in the Main Event on March 28.
