UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Dan Charlton Returns to Top 20

Dan Charlton

The latest online poker rankings, provided by PocketFives.com, and Dan “judgedredd13” Charlton has returned to the United Kingdom top 20.

Charlton soared back into 18th place thanks to two five-figure scores last week. He finished second in the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for more than $22,000 and then won the $1,050 Daily Cooldown for more than $18,000, both at PokerStars. Those results also pushed Charlton into 200th place in the world.

Towards the top of the standing, Patrick “pleno1” Leonard kept tabs on leader Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford with a deep run in the GGPoker $5K Sunday Main. Leonard finished 17th and won $12,660.

Tyler “Wonderboy222” Goatcher continued his impressive run of form with a final table appearance in the PokerStars Sunday Marathon that netted him $6,073. Goatcher also won the $55 Daily Marathon and $109 NLHE 6-Max PKO for combined scores in excess of $11,000.

Another player in hot form is Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit; he just can’t stop winning big buy-in events. Kanit’s latest victory came in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up for $43,714. He also netted the $271,790 top prize in a $10,300 SCOOP event, but that came too late to be counted on his points tally.

Sam “TheSquid” Grafton also found himself in the winner’s circle having triumphed in the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller at PokerStars for more than $60,000. Grafton now finds himself ranked 47th in the world, only seven spots behind his all-time high of 40th.

Double Sunday Million winner Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion finished fifth in the GGPoker Zodiac Horse Bounty for $12,077 to round off a solid week for the British contingent.

McCullagh Approaching Irish Top 10

There were plenty of near-misses for players from Ireland last week, but Johnathen “johnymcc” McCullagh managed to get the job done for a large prize.

McCullagh triumphed in the $33 Bounty Builder at PokerStars for more than $20,000. The points earned from that result ppropelled him from 17th to 12th place and an all-time high in the global rankings where he occupies 794th place.

Nicholas “YerSoLucky” Newport also won a PKO event at PokerStars. Newport’s victory came in the Hot $22 where he got his hands on more than $7,000.

It’s still “fastfingers” at the summit of the Irish rankings. They put together a deep run in a $109 SCOOP event for $2,851 and won more than $5,000 for their victory in the PokerStars.fr SCOOP €30 PKO.

James “jaymo” Noonan is within touching distance of fastfingers, however, and it one decent result away from becoming Ireland’s number one. Victory in the $109 Daily Cooldown netted Noonan more than $13,000 and he also picked up scores of $1,505 and $3,168 for a brace of third-place finishes in other PokerStars tournaments.

Fourth-placed Sven “SvenCalls” McDermott helped himself to several four-figure prizes last week, the largest worth more than $3,500, his reward for a third-place exit from the PokerStars $44 Bounty Builder.

Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen collected more than $5,500 when he finished third in the $55 Mini Bounty Builder High Roller at ‘Stars, while Frank “Denman98” Lillis, Turlough “thevirus217” McHugh, and “L0rdZeus11” all helped themselves to scores in the region of $3,000.
