32Red To Cease Poker Operations

32red

British online casino company 32Red is ceasing its online poker operations when the MPN network closes its doors on May 19.

32Red launched in 2002 making it one of the veterans of the online gambling world. Although better known for its casino products, 32Red has offered online poker for more than 15-years.

Customers of 32Red received an email yesterday informing them the poker room is closing for good.

“We regret to announce that 32Red Poker will be closing down on 19th May, when the Microgaming Poker Network closes. Please note that you will still be able to continue logging into your account, accessing banking and playing our casino games at 32Red.com after the 19th May.”

The email continues by explaining the Bad Beat Jackpot has been decommissioned and all five Five Party Jackpots are set for decommissioning on May 18th.

It seems strange and is disappointing 32Red hasn’t found a new home for its poker operations. The company is advertising everywhere in the English football world being the shirt sponsors of Championship teams Leeds United, Derby County, Middlesbrough, and Preston North End. Their logo also emblazons the shirts of Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers.

32Red’s statement points its customers to Unibet if they wish to continue playing online poker.

“Looking ahead, we recommend Unibet, our sister brand, who will ensure 32Red Poker players get the warm welcome they deserve.”

Kindred Group, owners of the Unibet brand, purchased 32Red for £175.6 million in February 2017. Perhaps those at the top forced 32Red’s arm into folding its poker offerings to potentially increase traffic at Unibet?

Grosvenor Poker Heads to the iPoker Network

One MPN skin that has found a new home is Grosvenor Poker. They’re setting up shop on the iPoker Network, joining the likes of Betfair, bet365, and William Hill.

Grosvenor also informed its customer base via email.

“We are excited to announce, that on the 19th May, we will be moving our online poker games to a new home.

The update will take place automatically, the only thing we’ll need from you is to choose a new poker alias.

Grosvenor has promised to reveal its promotional activity and new loyalty scheme during the next week.

OlyBet is another former MPN skin that is continuing to offer poker. OlyBet is an Estonian gambling giant that is now sending its players to the GGNetwork where they can compete alongside players on Natural8 and GGPoker.
