UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Hallaert and Goatcher Climb

Kenny Hallaert

Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert and Tyler “wonderboy222” Goatcher both climbed up the United Kingdom online poker rankings, provided by PocketFives.com, this week with Hallaert now occupying third-place.

Hallaert’s rise was down to him winning the $20K Gtd Gladiator at partypoker for a $5,421 score. Hallaert is in great form having last week finished second in the High Roller Sunday Masters at partypoker for a $29,600 prize.

Goatcher has been in scintillating form of late and his purple patch continued with a brace of victories and third-place finishes. The Brighton-based grinder won the $1,050 Saturday KO at PokerStars for more than $10,000 and the $55 NLHE 6-Max Hyper for an additional $1,611. Goatcher then finished third in the partypoker $55 Deepstack for $900 and third in the $55 Bounty Hunter, also at partypoker, for $619. Throw into the mix a deep run in the PokerStars Sunday Million worth $3,286 and you have the recipe for a very good week.

Patrick “thebigdog09” Brooks found himself in the winner’s circle courtesy of victory in the $55 Daily Marathon. It was a result that secured a $4,118 payday. “ZDARLIGHT123” also won a major tournament, the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller at PokerStars, and padded their bankroll with more than $20,000.

There was a five-figure score for Damien “DamienWain” Wain when he finished as the runner-up in the PokerStars $1,050 Thursday Thrill PKO. Wain got his hands on more than $11,000 for his deep run.

Then there was Chris “Moorman1” Moorman’s return to form with a victory at WSOP in the United States in the $1,500 NLHE 6-Max Knockout worth more than $5,500 and a seventh-place finish in a $30,000 Weekly Sunday tournament for $2,307.

Victory in the $530 Daily 500 at PokerStars saw Javier “que_te-crio” Fernandez walk away with a $5,625 score. We have to mention “MonsieurRask” who debuts in the UK rankings in 20th place. Based in London, MonsieurRask has won more than $1.78 million from online poker tournaments.

Geleziunas Closes The Gap

Tomas Geleziunas

Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville did not put together many meaningful results this past week, which allowed Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas to close the gap at the top of the Irish standings. Geleziunas won several events and cashed more than three dozen times during the past seven days, including a victory in the Afternoon on Stars €50 worth $3,550.

Former Irish number one Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson was the second-place finisher in the $44 Bounty Builder at PokerStars for more than $7,000 with fellow Irishman Ronan “Sw33ney” Sweeney taking down the $33 Bounty Builder for more than $7,000. Wilson also finished fifth in a $50,000 Gtd PKO Series event at 888poker for more than $2,000 and finished third in the PokerStars Big $215 for an additional $1,834.

“Rowniwn” won the $530 Daily 500 at PokerStars for $4,656 before winning the $215 Bounty Hunter for more than $30,000 although the latter came too late to be added to his profile’s points tally.

James “Jaymo” Noonan hit form on France-facing sites, with a second-place finish in the SECOOP €50 NLHE 8-Max PKO for more than $2,300, fifth-place in the Winamax W CIRCUS Event 83 for $3,898, and victories in The Big €20 and Big €50 worth $1,273 and $1,740 respectively.

Team partypoker pro Louise “lou045” Butler warmed up for the Caribbean Poker Party in style with two victories. First, she triumphed in the $33 6-Max for $1,048 and then won the $8.80 Women’s Special for $143.

Unibet Poker ambassador Dara “Doke” O’Kearney returned to the Irish top 20 after victory in the 888poker $10,000 Monsoon netted him $1,966 and exactly 100 points.

Finally, shout out to Ireland-based Spaniard “F4NT4_T1M3” who climbed into the top 20 for the first time. They have $160,413 in online poker tournament winnings, all of which stem from their play on PokerStars.
