Huge Value Awaits in the partypoker MILLION

partypoker MILLION

partypoker recently relaunched its weekly $1 million guaranteed online poker tournament after a 13-year hiatus. The tournaments comes with a host of features designed to benefit partypoker players participating in the event, but it is heading for a substantial overlay during its first week.

One of the bugbears of players comping in the biggest Sunday majors is the time the tournament finishes. Tournaments such as the Sunday Million at PokerStars often finish after 07:00 a.m. or even 8:00 a.m. on a Monday morning. While winning this tournament usually yields a six-figure prize, it has a detrimental effect on those who have to go work during the week.

partypoker is combatting this by running four starting flights. Each flight plays 21 levels that are 10-minutes each before those who navigated their way through to the final day’s action reconvenes at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and complete the tournament. An estimated finish time of around 2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning makes the partypoker MILLION friendlier for the majority of non-professional players.

More than 2,500 Runners Needed on Day 1D

Day 1A ran last Sunday and saw 1,081 players buy in for $215. The second flight, Day 1B, ran on Tuesday 29 October and saw 604 players enter. Day 1C’s field weighed in at 743; it took place on Thursday 31 October.

The final flight, Day 1D, shuffles up and deal at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday 3 November and needs 2,572 entries in order for the $1 million guarantee to be hit. Based on the available data, the tournament is heading for an overlay in the region of a quarter of a million dollars.

Dozens of satellites are feeding into the partypoker MILLION plus players can now win tournament dollars (T$) and use them to buy into the event.

It’s not only high stakes players who look set to benefit from some juicy overlay because the Mini and Micro also look set to miss their guarantees by some distance.

The $22 buy-in partypoker Mini has a $200,000 guarantee, meaning it need 10,000 entrants. Currently, with two flights remaining, the attendance stands at 4,233.

It is a similar story with the $2.20 Micro that has $20,000 guaranteed. Some 4,868 entries have been processed with only two flights remaining.
