Th3hook4h Wins $530 Bounty Builder Event for $81K
Poker players calling the United Kingdom and Ireland home enjoyed plenty of success over the past few days with several of them winning big in PokerStars tournaments.
“Th3hoo4h” was triumphant in the $530 NLHE Bounty Builder Series 009. The unknown player topped a field of 1,066 entries to get their hands on a combined prize worth a cool $81,193. This was made up of the $42,739 top prize plus an additional payment of $38,454 worth of bounties.
Shoutout also to Jareth “jareth3542” East who finished in 17th place for a prize weighing in at $3,512.
We also had a champion in the Bigger $215 event. Some 308 players bought in and created a $61,600 prize pool shared among the top 53 finishers. Three of our players navigated their way to the final table, Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot being the first to bust in sixth-place for $2,448. Ireland’s Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson finished once place deeper for $3,340 but Andy “andyh26” Holman took down the event and padded his bankroll with $11,571.
Another Irish player in Kamal “KumoZing” Singh won the $109 Sunday Kickoff for $9,679 while “T 54 T 97s” finished sixth in the Bigger $109 and took home $3,538.
Another Big Score for Zhang
The exceptionally talented Michael “mczhang” Zhang fell at the final hurdle of the $2,100 Sunday High Roller, losing out to Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet for the title. Second place in this event was worth $27,989.
In the $530 Omania High Roller, “Ben_Apart” showed the world Brits can excel with four hole cards and triumphed over 67 opponents to bank $9,446, while“Bonglim” finished eighth in the $2,100 Sunday Cooldown and scooped $7,066 with bounties included.
A $3,854 score was awarded to “Luck2581” when they were eliminated from the $109 Sunday Cooldown in fifth place while Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion, a multiple Sunday Million winner, was crowned champion of the $55 NLHE Turbo Bounty Builder Series 004, a result worth $26,049.
Special mentions also to “SRFC1889” who won the Bigger $22 for $9,792 and to “martineng24” who turned $22 into $2,075 by finishing sixth in the Mini Sunday Million.
There was also results to shout about at 888poker where “MarkBurtoni” won $1,800 for their fifth-place exit in the $530 Rake or Break Whale. They also received their $30 tournament fee back when the tournament failed to reach its $25,000 prize pool target.
Four players reached the final table of the $109 Sunday Challenge and shared an ample slice of the $24,800 prize pool. “Fairways88” busted in seventh for $992, Charlie “chazcombes” Combes finished in sixth place for $1,240, and “Robertjohn82” banked $1,488 for their fifth place finish. “jksaha21” fired three bullets and it was third time is a charm as they chopped the tournament for $4,459.
