UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: New Name in the Top 20

The United Kingdom online poker rankings, provided by, have a new name in its top 20 and also saw the return of a player who occupied one of the top 20 spots for several weeks.

“dawhiteninja” from Cambridgeshire is the new name, a player with almost $450,000 in winnings. They have cashed more than 2,000 times, won 40 tournaments outright and recently enjoyed their largest-ever score. A fourth-place finish in the partypoker POWERFEST Phased $750K Gtd Final locked up $51,044 for dawhiteninja and the leaderboard points gained propelled them into 17th place in the UK standings.

Jan “Bk0705” Naderzadeh is the player returning to the limelight after an absence of a few weeks. Naderzadeh broke through the $1 million in winnings barrier last week.

Team partypoker’s Patrick “pleno1” Leonard is still way out in front at the top of the UK rankings; he is also ranked third in the world. Leonard is more than a 1,000 points ahead of Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford and around 1,200 ahead of “girafganger7” who took down a $530 Bounty Builder High Roller at PokerStars for more than $17,000.

Also flying high is Tyler “wonderboy222” Goatcher. He won the PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder for more than $5,000 while Damien “DamienWain” Wain took down both the $109 NLHE 6-Max PKO for more than $1,500 at PokerStars and the $33 BIG Fish at 888poker for $2,717.

Mention also to Andy “andyh26” Holman whose fifth-place finish in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Supersonic netted him $5,936.

Big Scores for Prendiville and Wilson

Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer may still top the Irish standings but he is facing pressure from the chasing pack. Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas is racking up some ridiculous volume as he always does, while Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville and Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson seem to be hitting form.

Prendiville has enjoyed a couple of big scores in the past week or so, first finishing second in the PokerStars $1,050 Super Tuesday for $27,454 and then finishing fifth in a partypoker Sunday Gladiator for an additional $8,725.

Wilson added $11,123 to his lifetime tally when he finished second in the PokerStars $1,050 Thursday Thrill, taking his total online poker tournament earnings to more than $3.64 million.

“Rowniwn” banked a handful of four-figure prizes to improve their points tally. The Austria-based Irish grinder finished third in the PokerStars Hot $82 for $1,286, was fifth in the Hot $215 for $1,582 and finished third in another Hot $82 for an additional $1,314.

Lastly, a shout-out to Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen who won the $44 Bounty Builder at PokerStars for more than $5,000.
