Sunday 26 May was massive for online poker tournament players with the partypoker KO Series, 888poker XL Inferno and PokerStars SCOOP festivals all drawing to a thrilling conclusion. It was in the KO Series where British players enjoyed the most success, especially “COunCILtAX41” who won more than $359,000.

COunCILtAX41 topped a field of 411 entrants in the $5,200 buy-in KO Series #52-SHR: $2M Gtd Championship Event to bank a life changing sum. The unknown British star won $154,502 for finishing in first place and boosted this already impressive sum with $204,790 from the bounty prize pool. Those bounties included that on the head of runner-up Kenny “Spacey1891” Hallaert who won more than $193,000 in total, his largest online score to date.

Three Brits reached the final table of the KO Series #52-HR: $1M Gtd Championship Event. “butihasneeds” crashed out in eighth-place for a total prize worth $14,664 while “IEatBears” busted one place deeper for a $22,755 score. The player known as “krouton13” almost went all the way, but fell at the final hurdle to finish in second place for $110,083.

  • “Wanyama32” - first-place in the $109 KO Series #54-H: $150K Gtd for $25,945
  • “WhoIsICM” - seventh-place in the $2,100 KO Series #53-HR: $1M Gtd for $22,231
  • “fumateotro” - third-place in the $530 Sunday High Roller Bounty Hunter for $14,802
  • “TheBarre” - first-place in the $530 Sunday High Roller PLO Bounty Hunter for $10,581
  • “spinner2255” - sixth-place in the $530 Sunday High Roller Bounty Hunter for $8,546

Over to PokerStars now where “demondoink” finished second in the Bigger $109 but not before striking a deal that netted them $18,700 and where Rick “ThEcLaiMEer” Trigg finished fifth in the Hotter $109 for a $5,254 addition to his bankroll.
