Sunday Briefing: Jonathan Gill Chops PokerStars Bounty Builder High Roller

Jonathan “Gil3000” Gill guaranteed himself a profitable Sunday session after finishing second from 1,060-entrants in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller PKO event.

Popular pro Gill banked more than $48,000 thanks to the deal struck with Sweden’s “vic_xcite”. The impressive haul was made up of $37,674 prize money plus an additional $10,537 worth of bounties. Gill was joined at the final table by another player sporting a Union Jack, namely fourth-place finisher “cwirek1982” who walked away with a combined score worth $20,434.

Tamer “Tamthemanwho” Kamel was another British grinder to reach a PokerStars final table on Sunday. Kamel finished in fourth-place in the Bigger $109 for an $8,669 score with UK-based Belgian “girafganger7” winning the event for $20,938 after a heads-up deal with Team PokerStars Pro Lex “L. Veldhuis” Veldhuis.

Over to partypoker now where there were some impressive result by players from the United Kingdom and Ireland. One such result was “YoungSAVAGE” finishing second in the Sunday High Roller: $100K Gtd for $14,800, the same tournament that “megustaestrecha” finished fifth in for a $5,500 score.

Two British players found themselves at the final table of the Sunday Warm Up: $30K Gtd, too. “JaegsEZ” busted in fourth-place for $2,205 with “Frogman7777PP” taking down the entire tournament, outlasting 257-opponents, to bank the $5,411 top prize.

Team partypoker Pro Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard continued his good start to 2019 with a runner-up finish in the Sunday Gladiator: $200K Gtd, a result that saw him bank $15,277 from the main prize pool plus an additional $5,930 worth of bounties.

Shout-out also to “tmgiant1234” who triumphed in the Sunday Gladiator: $100K Gtd, a $55 buy-in tournament, for a $6,319 prize boosted by $6,880 from the bounty prize pool.

The player known as “f0rmEiTseGaL” triumphed in the $50,000 Whale, a $1,050 buy-in event. This victory netted the player $22,940
