Sunday Briefing: Conor Beresford Takes Down partypoker Super High Roller

Conor Beresford

Conor “ADRIEN_BRODY” Beresford kept up his impressive record in the partypoker Sunday Super High Roller by once again winning the title of partypoker’s most expensive weekly tournament.

Beresford was one of 48 entrants in the $2,600 buy-in event who helped create a $120,000 prize pool. This sum was distributed among the top six finishers and it was Beresford who got his hands on the lion’s share of the prize money, namely $45,000.

Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard managed to reach the final table of the $1,050 Sunday Bounty Hunter High Roller where he busted in fourth place for $6,473 from the main prize pool and $2,827 worth of bounty payments.

Two of our players almost won the $215 Sunday Bounty Hunter. Ronan “Sw33ney” Sweeney of Ireland fell in third-place for a total of $5,485 while Dean “muggy1” Quinn exited in second-place for a combined score of $9,288.

Lastly, for partypoker, a mention of Paul “pvasnunes” Vas Nunes who was the runner-up in the $109 Sunday Bounty Hunter Mix-Max Turbo for $2,203 plus $1,430 worth of bounties.

Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer turned $530 into $28,313 by triumphing in the PokerStars High Roller Club: Sunday 500. Brammer, a six-time PocketFives Triple Crown winner, no longer tracks his results on the site but has been ranked number one in the world on two separate occasions.

Another big winner at PokerStars was Louis “5pathic” Salter who took down the $215 Sunday Warm-Up. It was a result that netted Salter $34,009 after he defeated UK-based Spaniard Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo heads-up, resigning Pardo to the $24,452 runner-up prize.

Finally, two Union Jacks were spotted at the final table of the $109 Sunday PKO. “UndeadCretin” was the sixth-place finisher and walked away with $642 from the main prize pool plus $548 from the bounty prize pool while “josetecrazy” took down the tournament and saw a combined $6,261 added to their 888poker account.
