UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Scott Margereson Returns to UK Top 10

Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson
  • Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson returned to the UK online poker rankings top 20 this week.

The PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) and partypoker POWERFEST have created some massive prize pools and those big prizes have results in some impressive scores for those who call the United Kingdom and Ireland home.

Scott “Aggro Santos” Margereson, who now resides in Mexico, finished second in the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for more than $26,000 and followed that up with a huge $98,977 plus $26,875 worth of bounties in the WCOOP-19-H: $10,300 NLHE 8-Max PKO High Roller. This brace of results have resulted on Margereson returning to the top 10 in the UK standings, according to our friends at

Meanwhile, Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot is now ranked fourth in the world for the first time in his career as he continues to impress at the virtual felt. Proudfoot finished fourth in a $500K Gtd POWERFEST event at partypoker for $33,500 and also won the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for an additional $28,479.

The partypoker ambassador has played a lot of POWERFEST events and has enjoyed a $13,300 and an $18,156 score. Leonard also took down a POWERFEST event for more than $46,000 but that will not be added to his tally until the next rankings update.

Shout-out to “girafganger7” who netted $62,120 by finishing eighth in the WCOOP-12-H: $10,300 NLHE 8-Max High Roller at PokerStars in addition to winning a Daily 500 for $13,590 and to Michael Chi “mczhang” Zhang who banked $42,840 for his sixth-place finish in the partypoker POWERFEST $1M Gtd Championship Event.

Big Score For Kevin Killeen

It was a relatively quiet week for grinders from the Emerald Isle, although there were a handful of impressive scores to shout about.

Former Irish number one Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen was the third-place finisher in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for more than $20,000 and Kamal “AceOfShamrocks” Singh who was the runner-up in a $100K Gtd POWERFEST at partypoker for a $15,169 addition to his bankroll.

A mention has to go to Keith “TheImprover” Cummins who returned to the Irish top 20 this week, but the man of the week has to be “rtspurs” who shot up to 10th in the Irish standings following a remarkable six outright victories, including a $109 FLO8 8-Max WCOOP for $9,777 and a $215 PLO8 Omania High Roller for $4,204, both at PokerStars.
