There was plenty of value to be had in online poker tournaments on Jun. 17 thanks to thousands of poker players being in Las Vegas for the 2018 World Series of Poker and thousands more focusing on watching the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches taking place.

One player who took full advantage of the less tough crowds of online grinders was “TresBizzo” who navigated their way to the final table of the PokerStars Sunday Million, eventually falling in ninth-place to turn $215 into $7,955.

Three Union Jacks were at the final table of the $215 Sunday Warm-Up and they finished in positions second through fourth. “szwindel” bust in fourth-place for $11,600 with “jokkee_apart” finishing in third-place for $15,985. “cwirek1982” was the tournament’s runner-up, a finish worth $22,027.

Some of the other notable cashes at PokerStars included:

  • Billy “b8chatz” Chattaway – second-place in the Bigger $55 for $11,313
  • “jungix” – fourth-place in the $109 Bounty Builder for $8,315*
  • “DuTTiFruTTi9” – third-place in the Hotter $215 for $8,105
  • “BuyMyLunch” – third-place in the $55 Sunday Marathon for $7,447
  • Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion – first-place in the $22 Bounty Builder for $6,145*
  • “WadeShaq03” – fourth-place in the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $5,850
  • “HyperspeedeR” – third-place in the $55 Sunday Stack for $5,551
  • “NutsInMacada” – fourth-place in the $55 Sunday Marathon for $5,226
  • Charlie “JIZOINT” Combes – seventh-place in the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for $4,954*
  • “T-Macha” – sixth-place in the Bigger $215 for $3,881
  • “masterdod0” – third-place finish in the $215 NLO8 Sunday Supersonic for $3,863
  • “hotfils77” – third-place finish in the $109 Bubble Rush for $1,871
  • “hotfils77” – eighth-place in the Hotter $215 for $1,715
  • “krabby1212” – seventh-place in the $215 NLO8 Sunday Supersonic for $1,413

Across to partypoker now where Alex “lindop310” Lindop won the $530 Sunday Omaha Main Event for $10,204 and where Roberto “WelshWizard” Romanello put together two deep runs.

Romanello finished eighth in the 1K Sunday Big Bounty Hunter for $2,210 and $5,980 in bounty payments. He then went on to bust from the Super Sunday 1K Deepstack in 10th place for $3,108.

Over at 888poker, Ian “Simpioni” Simpson finished eighth in the $75,000 Sunday Mega Deep and turned $215 into $1,985. Simpson was joined at the final table by “josetecrazy” who took down the tournament for a cool $15,483 score.

There was almost another British champion crowned in the $40,000 Sunday Challenge, but Scott “AggroSantos” Margereson fell at the final hurdle and finished second for $5,800 with “LackOfStack” falling in ninth-place for $800.

Finally, a shout-out to Paul “11BRS11” Jackson who finished fourth in the $15,000 Turbo Mega Deep for a $1,540 addition to their bankroll.
