  • There were plenty of big winners from the UK & Ireland thanks to the XL Inferno, SCOOP and POWERFEST.

Sunday 13th May was a huge day in online poker circles thanks to the PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP), the partypoker POWERFEST and 888poker XL Inferno all running massive events. Dozens of players who call the United Kingdom and Ireland home enjoyed big scores, let’s find out who there were.

“Trickyone14,” which is not Sam Trickett, helped themselves to a $114,891 score by finishing third in the SCOOP-31-H: $530 NLHE Sunday Million SE. Some 3,191 entries created a $1,595,500 prize pool and trickyone14 got their hands on a significant slice of it. Our hero was joined at the final table by “Jabba_010” and Stavros “IDOLLS” Kalfas who walked away with $40,620 and $14,361 respectively.

Scott “Aggro Santos” Margereson netted $76,598 for his runner-up finish in SCOOP-25-H: $530+R NLHE. Playing from Mexico, Margerson outlasted a star-studded field of 391 entrants, including fellow Brit Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer who finished in sixth-place for $24,252. UK-based Spaniard Vicente “vicenfish” Delgado bust in fourth-place for $43,100.

  • “grgsmrshmllw” - seventh-place in the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $2,913

Over at 888poker, Morten “MortenVM_” Mortensen finished sixth in the XL Inferno #12 - $150,000 Whale to turn $1,050 into $9,300 while “nlfreddie” was the sixth-place finisher in the XL Inferno #10 - $150,000 Tune Up for $6,596.

There were also two Union Jacks displayed at the final table of the $15,000 Turbo Mega Deep. “TopBeaver69” fell in sixth-place for $825 with “ckb4714” busting one place later in fifth for $1,125.

Across to partypoker now where Chris “Therealmoorm” Moorman finished third in the POWERFEST #40-M: $50K GTD for a $5,437 addition to his bankroll and where Nicholas “YerSoLucky” Newport banked $3,078 for his fifth-place finish in the POWERFEST #44-M: $200K Gtd PKO; Newport also won $575 in bounty payments.

George “GeorgeBlah” Bedi won the POWERFEST #44-M: $200K Gtd PKO to secure $11,749 in bounty payments and $15,288 from the prize pool.
