UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Proudfoot Closing in on Top 10

UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Proudfoot Closing in on Top 10 0001

Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot continued his march up the online poker rankings this week and now finds himself at another career-high.

Proudfoot, who live in Durham, still occupies fourth-place in the UK online poker rankings but has climbed up the worldwide standings once again. Now ranked 23rd in the world, Proudfoot is not a million of miles away from a coveted top 10 spot in the global rankings.

Four big scores helped propel Proudfoot up the rankings. He netted $7,838 for finishing 13th in a $1,050 buy-in tournament at PokerStars then banked an additional $10,254 for a runner-up finish in another PokerStars tournament. Proudfoot then won $5,906 for a second-place in partypoker’s $20K Gtd High Roller and then won the $40K Gtd High Roller at partypoker for $11,817.

Third-placed Kenny “SpaceFCB” Hallaert enjoyed a solid week at the virtual felt. It was a week that saw him win a $10K Gtd Uppercut Turbo at partypoker for $3,112 and a week where he finished third in two PokerStars tournaments for combined scores of $6,535. Hallaert locked up $7,500 by finishing third in 888poker’s $50,000 Volcano and an additional $3,150 for being the third-place finisher in the 888poker Great 8 tournament.

Scotland’s Ludovic “ludovi333” Geilich closed the gap on those ranked above him by getting his hands on a $66,461 prize at PokerStars. Geilich finished third in a $1,050 Winter Series tournament, the some one that Proudfoot finished 13th in.

We also need to mention Nick “Liftededge” Todd who continues to excel at partypoker. Third-place finish in the $20K Gtd Eliminator and a runner-up finish in the $40k Gtd High Roller saw Todd walk away with scores of $2,600 and $7,287.

Lastly, welcome to the top 20 to the UK-based Spaniard known as “B4NKR0LL3R.” The London-based grinder shot up the leaderboard thanks to netting a $56,329 score by finishing seventh in a $2,100 Winter Series event at PokerStars.

Doke Still On Top in Ireland

Dara “Doke” O’Kearney is still the man to catch in the Irish online poker rankings. O’Kearey banked a $8,652 score by winning the $30,000 Gtd Extreme Tuesday at Black Chip Poker to boost his points tally by more than 212 points. The popular grinder will see his points boosted at the next update because he was the third-place finisher in the partypoker $250,000 Gtd Title Fight for $20,025, but this result came too late to be included in the last update.

Daniel “NukeTheFish!” Wilson is another Irishman who netted a large score too late to be included in the latest update. The former Irish number one took down the Hotter $215 at PokerStars for $19,181, a result that shoud see him climb above Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen into second-place.

Dublin’s Nicholas “YerSoLucky” Newport climbed to 10th place this week, which knocked Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer down one spot to 11th. We doubt O’Dwyer will be too bothered by the fact seeing how he won the $50,000 High Roller at the 2018 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $769,500.

Competing the rankings update for another week is a doff of the cap to Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville who won a Winter Series event at PokerStars last weekend for $32,308, the sixth-largest online cash of Prendiville’s career.
