Major Live UK & Ireland Poker Tournaments in December
Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat, this is the last month of the year to build a massive stack!
The current year may be almost done and dusted but there is still plenty of live poker tournament action to get stuck into before you spend the end of the year wondering what to do with the mountain of leftovers from Christmas.
Fans of Grosvenor’s 25/25 Series will be happy to know that there are four events scheduled for December. These take place in Bolton, Stockton, Leeds and Cardiff. The 25/25 Series cost £220 to enter and for that princely sum, you get to play for a share of a guaranteed £25,000.
Several online poker sites are running live events in the final month of the year, including 888poker who take their 888Live Local tour to Aspers Casino, London from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 where an £88,000 guaranteed Main Event takes place.
partypoker heads across to Ireland in December for two spectacular events. The first of this duo is a €450 buy-in no-limit hold’emFitzwilliam Poker Championship with a €50,000 guaranteed prize pool and the second is the €120 buy-in Grand Prix Cork, which also has a €50,000 guarantee.
The world’s largest online poker site, PokerStars, goes to Luton on Dec. 7 for the PokerStars Megastack Luton while the Unibet UK Poker Tour 2017 concludes on Dec. 8-10 in Manchester where there’s a £40,000 guarantee to play for.

Our friends over at the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) travel to the Grosvenor G Casino for the English Amateur Poker Championships, while the recently relaunched poker room at Leeds’ Victoria Gate Casino is running a £50,000 guaranteed Christmas Bonanza from Boxing Day through to December 30.
