UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Moorman Back in UK Top 10

Chris Moorman

Former world number one, Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, has returned to the top 10 of the PocketFives.com United Kingdom Online Poker Rankings.

Moorman had been concentrating his efforts on the online poker site Americas Cardroom but has since headed where he has a full selection of poker sites available to him, which has resulted in him soaring up the leaderboard.

Some of the highlights of Moorman’s past week or so include win in the $109 NLHE and $215 Monday 6-Max at PokerStars for $2,051 and $24,697, several deep runs in WCOOP events, and a runner-up finish in a $20K Gtd PLO Powerfest event at partypoker.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford still occupies top spot and by more than 1,000 points. Beresford took down a Powerfest event for $14,485 last week and has nine four-figure scores in n the past seven days, including a $6,559 addition to his bankroll after winning the $320 NLHE 6-Max at PokerStars.

Climbing to second place in the UK is partypoker pro Patrick “pleno1” Leonard who won the Big $215 at PokerStars for $13,138 and finished second in a $5,200 NLHE Side Event for a cool $18,500. Another player winning big was Ludovic “ludovi333” Geilich who secured a $22,827 payday by finishing third in the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE at PokerStars.

One player who should climb up the ranking when PocketFives next update their database is Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell. The Spaniard fell at the final hurdle of the WCOOP-26-H: $1,050 NLHE 8-Max Sunday Warm-Up and banked a massive $158,522 prize, the biggest of his career. Serradell could climb as high as third place.

Up two places this week is Jamie “EzGame89” O’Connor courtesy of winning the PokerStars Big $215 for $15,051 while Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot is on for a Triple Crown after winning the partypoker $20K Gtd Powerfest event for $4,408 and a $215 NLHE Turbo for $5,804 at PokerStars. Proudfoot also finished second in the $150,000 Mega Deep XL Eclipse tournament at 888poker and netted himself $20,250.

“Rowniwn” Returns to the Top 20

In the Irish online poker rankings, the player known as “Rowniwn” returned to the top 20 after an absence spanning several months. The Dubliner was ranked as highly as 271st in the world during 2015 but slipped down the standings. Several impressive results, including a win in the PokerStars Big $109 for $9,414 have resulted in Rowniwn climbing back to 20th spot. Another couple of big scores and he should fly up the table.

Jason “blaaaaaah666” Tompkins climbed from 18th to 13th this week mostly because of his runner-up finish in the Big $22 at PokerStars. The $10,852 that Tompkins collected for this second place pushed him through the $900,000 in online poker tournament winnings.

At the top of the leaderboard, James “Jaymo” Noonan has started to open a gap between himself and the chasing pack. A win in the PokerStars Big $162 for $3,779 was Noonan’s standout performance of the past week.

Shoutouts also to Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson who banked $7,580 by finishing second in the 888poker $40,000 QuarterBack, to Dara “Doke” O’Kearney who won a $10K Gtd Powerfest event for $4,748 and to Nicholas “YerSoLucky” Newport who reached the final table of the Sunday Million WCOOP edition at PokerStars for $22,672
