  • Conor Beresford tops the UK online poker rankings while Ludovic Geilich climbs to second place.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford has extended his lead at the top of the PocketFives.com UK Online Poker Rankings thanks to some excellent results at partypoker this past couple of weeks.

Beresford is crushing all that stand before him at partypoker and is reaching final tables for fun. A runner-up finish in the $2,600 Super High Roller banked him $32,873 while a runner-up finish in a $530 High Roller netted him an additional $8,619 and a third-place in another $530 locked up $4,441. Throw into the mix a victory in the $162 NLHE Win the Button at PokerStars for $2,629 and it is easy to see why Beresford is the UK number one right now.

The youngster’s lead at the top is sure to widen once PocketFives update their rankings over the weekend because Beresford has won three High Roller tournaments at partypoker and logged more final table appearances than you could shake a stick at.

Up to second place this week is Ludovic Geilich. The talented Scotsman won the $320 Super Tuesday Late Edition for $12,386 and won the $215 Fast Friday for $10,717, both at PokerStars, to oust Patrick Leonard from the bridesmaid spot. Geilich could put some more distance between himself and third-placed Leonard because he reached the final table of this week’s $1,050 Super Tuesday.

Leonard has been no slouch though, registering a runner-up finish in the PokerStars $320 NLHE 6-Max for $4,759 and a second-place finish in the $50K Gtd High Roller at partypoker for $14,000.

Returning to the top 20 this week, in fact coming in at number five, is the player known as “carpediem200.” The unknown player has been tearing up the virtual felt of late, including a third-place finish in the Big $215 at PokerStars for $10,731.

With the $35 million guaranteed Powerfest at partypoker, the $8 million guaranteed XL Eclipse series at 888poker and the yet-to-be announced 2017 World Championship Of Online Poker at PokerStars coming in September, the rankings could change significantly, but we have a feeling Beresford, especially in this form, is going to be number one for the foreseeable future.
