The 888poker XL Inferno Series is nearing the end of the first week, but before they start with the weekend, there were 11 new tournaments on Friday. One of the highlights of the day was the XL Inferno #70 - $20,000 Crocodile. Players paid the buy-in of $160 to enter.

At 6:30 p.m. GMT the $20,000 Crocodile event started and after the late registration period. Tere were 164 players who entered. They created a prize pool of $24,600 with the first prize just above $5,000. The last 27 players of this event would get paid, but all eyes were on the final table.

After "Smithstudent", who won the XL Inferno #68 - $15,000 Breeze on this day, busted in 10th place, the remaining nine players went to the final table. On the final table, the tournament lost "Juanfran1973" (ninth, $492), "Ender112" (eight, $738) and "luckyr1ver" (seventh, $984) in quick succession. The last six players were guaranteed at least a four-figure score.

After that, "wonderdaz14" (sixth, $1,230), "_HiusPeinz_" (fifth, $1,476), "TaeTaes" (fourth, $2,152) and "Cobris" (third, $2,890) busted to get to the final heads-up between "PuntSonPunt" and "lunchbox1980."

In the end, it was Czech Republic's "PuntSonPunt" who finished on top to snag the first prize of $5,289. "lunchbox1980" had to settle for second place ($3,813).
