Sam “sammy_squid” Grafton has been in hot form at partypoker this month. Grafton won the $150,000 Gtd High Roller on Apr. 2 for $26,260 and on the same day finished fourth in the $50,000 Gtd Turbo High Roller for $5,956 and was the runner-up in the $30,000 Gtd Rebuy for $6,212.
This weekend, Grafton’s run continued after he topped a field of 373 players in the $150,000 Gtd High Roller and walked away with $34,549 in prize money.
partypoker ambassador Roberto “TheWelshWizard” Romanello, fresh from competing at the partypoker MILLIONS Main Event that Maria Lampropulos won, finished eighth in the $100,000 Gtd Super High Roller for $5,477 before finishing in third-place in the $50,000 Gtd Turbo High Roller for an additional $7,253.
A shout out to Ireland’s Gary “GaryT20” Thompson who secured a $6,171 prize by finishing fifth in the $150,000 Gtd Main Event.
Over at 888poker, “bigblindbets” won the $100,000 Baby Whale and turned $320 into $19,350. Also at that final table were Conor “grandma1954” Beresford and “OMGsete” who finished in fourth and seventh-place for $8,250 and $3,400 additions to their bankrolls.
A doff of the cap to Paul “Senta99” Senter who was the runner-up in the $80,000 Sunday Challenge, a finish worth $15,580.
There were plenty of final table appearances at PokerStars, too. Ireland’s Fanou “fwilliams007” Madou Williams finished sixth in the $109 Sunday Starter for $1,399 while “telsmore” was the sixth-place finisher in the Big $162 for $1,150.
In the Hot $162, “deivid29” was the runner-up for $5,390 with “ZhipOHoy” busting in sixth-place for $1,608, and “wilmy_x” was eliminated from the $215 Bounty Builder in ninth-place and added $1,635 to their PokerStars account.
One of the larger scores enjoyed by a British player this Sunday weighed in at $27,625, which was the prize for finishing in third-place in the $215 Sunday Warm-Up. Patrick “thebigdog09” Brooks collected this amount with “seamiecon” banking $7,383 for finishing seventh in the same tournament.
Sean “MonkeyBudg” Prendiville and “wilmy_x” put together a deep run in the Hot $162, eventually busting in fifth and sixth-place respectively for $4,253 and $3,086 while Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead saw his $215 Sunday Million run end in a ninth-place finish worth $9,050.
This week’s Hot $109 was chopped five ways and it was “SlipperyBean” who fell in second-place to net $10,682. An impressive $55,493 was netted by “airlewis” after they won the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE and Antonio “Tonyfish77” Da Silva finished third in the Big $215 for a $13,797 score.
Completing the Sunday Briefing for another week is the fourth-place finish by “0:lou lou” in the $215 Sunday Supersonic, a finish worth $9,869.
