UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Three New Names Enter UK Top 20

The United Kingdom’s online poker tournament rankings, provided by, has three new names among its top 20 ranked players but it is still Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who leads the way.

Beresford finished fifth in the $150,000 Gtd High Roller at partypoker for a $10,085 score and two days later won the Big $215 at PokerStars for $11,646. These two excellent results have placed a 405.90 gap between himself and second-placed Patrick “pleno1” Leonard in the UK’s standings

The first new name in the UK top 20 is that of Belgium’s Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert. The man who finished sixth in the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event has more than $3.35 million in online poker tournament cashes and is now ranked 56th in the world.

Another newcomer is David “davaman” Lopez, one of the many Spanish grinders gracing the shores of the UK with their presence. Lopez recently won the $1,050 Thursday Thrill at PokerStars for a $39,716 score, which happens to be the second-largest online cash of his career.

Completing the trio of new additions is Richard “Keldo” Kellett. Playing under the moniker “noonionsblud” at partypoker, Kellett has racked up several final tables, including a win in the $50,000 Gtd Uppercut for $12,305 and a runner-up finish in the $150,000 Gtd Main Event for $20,452.

Special mentions have to go to “luckyfish89” who won the $120,000 Mega Deep at 888poker and walked away with $24,444 and to the online legend that is Chris “moorman1” Moorman who won the $215 Weekender at PokerStars for $7,935 and a $30,000 guaranteed event at a USA-facing poker room.

James Noonan Leaps into Pole Position in Ireland

James “Jaymo” Noonan is the new Irish number one ranked player, leapfrogging both Toby “JobyToyce” Joyce and long-time leader Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson.

Noonan won a $40,000 Gtd Uppercut at partypoker for $8,000 and went on to finish as the runner-up in the PokerStars $10K Payday Phase 2 for a $9,556 addition to his bankroll. Noonan now has more than $2.17 million in online cashes and has soared to 38th in the world rankings, representing his loftiest ever position.

The player known as “myleftfoot” cemented his position in seventh-place by winning a $55 NLHE Win the Button event at PokerStars for $1,025 while a string of deep runs has resulted in Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville climb from 10th place up to eighth.

Popular pro and blogger extraordinaire Dara “Doke” O’Kearney finished third in a $40,000 Gtd Uppercut for $4,300 and last night won the €5,000 Gigabyte on the MPN network for $2,364. When the latter is added to his points tally, O’Kearney could return to the Irish top 10.
