Sunday Briefing: Three Brits on Sunday Million Final Table
Three players hailing from the United Kingdom reached the final table of the $215 Sunday Million at PokerStars and won more than $95,000 between them.
“fergiecfc” saw their Sunday Million end in ninth place, a finish that was worth $8,784 while “kiely13” managed to navigate their way to fifth place and a $36,217 cash haul. Progressing one place deeper was Tony “tonyfellone” Fellone who fell in fourth place and turned $215 into $51,609.
Another Union Jack sporting player winning big at PokerStars on Mar. 5 was “Ahhh Is It?” who took down the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO for $29,176 after defeating UK-based Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche heads-up.
In the $109 Sunday Cooldown, Harry “Iamapoopie” Lodge finished fourth for $8,821 while in the hyper-turbo structured $215 Sunday Supersonic Ireland’s Gavin “gavonater” O’Rourke and “timber4483” finished sixth and fifth for score of $4,061 and $6,212.
Across to 888poker now where “Hindukrush” won the $120,000 Whale tournament and turned $600 into $27,614.65. Hindukrush was joined at the final table by fellow Brit Patrick “d1sclosure” Leonard who fell in sixth place for a $6,076 addition to their bankroll.
A brace of Brits were present at the final table of the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep. Craig “craigbor18” Borrer was the first of this duo to bust, his tournament ending in a fifth place finish worth $2,568 and “summuNNN” was the runner-up for $6,634.
Lastly for 888poker, a doff of the cap to the trio of our players who progressed to the final table of the $80,000 Sunday Challenge. Ireland’s “BigRazor11” was the sixth place finisher for $3,609 and falling one place later was Jonathan “jgjg3000” Gill who banked $4,459. The biggest prize of the trio went to “deepincidurr” who crashed out in second place for $11,466.
There were also some impressive results this weekend at partypoker where Tony “tonyfellone” Fellone, who finished fourth in the PokerStars Sunday Million, finished fifth in the $325,000 Gtd Title Fight for a $14,787 score.
Two British players navigated their way through the majority of the 1,727-strong field of the $150,000 Gtd Main Event to reach the final table, Paul “pvasnunes” Vas Nunes fell in eighth place for $3,022 while “pauley1977” crashed out in fifth place for $7,857.
Completing the Sunday Briefing for another week is the runner-up finish in the $30,000 Gtd Rebuy by partypoker ambassador Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard which was worth $6,576.
