Major Live Poker Tournaments in the UK & Ireland During March
It is difficult to believe that 2017 is already three months old but you better believe it because this year is flying by like a speeding train. Like January and February before it, March is another bumper month of live poker tournament action in the United Kingdom and Ireland with at least 20 events to get your teeth into.
On Mar. 2, Day 1a of the 2017 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Manchester Main Event gets underway and it should attract some of the best players on the British circuit. Last year’s GUKPT Manchester Main Event saw Reyaaz Mulla and Tom Middleton chop heads-up and return home with £58,300 and £53,00 respectively.
At the end of the month, and going into April, the GUKPT heads north of the border to Edinburgh while Huddersfield, Luton, and Bournemouth host the popular Grosvenor 25/25 Series.
The first PokerStars Live London Series begins on Mar. 2. It is the first of five events scheduled at the Hippodrome Casino and should be a big hit with the locals and travelling players alike. You can qualify for PokerStars Live London Series tournaments online at PokerStars.
Running each weekend throughout the month of March are the DTD200 tournaments. Each of these events has a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool and you can win your way into them, plus play a Day 1 online, only at partypoker.

Returning to the UK this month is the Unibet UK Poker Tour, a series of tournaments that proved popular during its debut season in 2016. Head to the Rendezvous Casino, Brighton from Mar. 17 if you want to play for a share of a guaranteed £40,000.
Also in March is a Genting Poker Series event in Sheffield and Mini events in both Reading and Liverpool. Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated live event of the month is the 2017 Irish Poker Open Festival over in Dublin. Several online poker sites are running satellites to the €500,000 guaranteed spectacular, including partypoker and Betfair Poker.
