Grosvenor Nottingham to Re-Open After Refurbishment

  • £3.4 million has been spent refurbishing the Grosvenor Casino Nottingham.

Grosvenor Casino’s Nottingham venue is set to official re-open during on Mar. 20 following a refurbishment that cost £3.4 million.

Located on Maid Marian Way, the casino has undergone an extensive refurbishment that sees it sport a modern new look, a contemporary bar area, a sports lounge featuring a 100-inch television and VIP seating, five new gaming tables and an improved slots area.

Daren Brain, General Manager of Grosvenor Casino Nottingham, said: “We’re thrilled to be unveiling our brand new facilities to the people of Nottingham, with a two-week schedule of events that puts our customers at its heart and celebrates everything this fantastic city has to offer. Thanks to the recent refurbishment, the casino now benefits from a huge number of improvements to both our gaming and entertainment offering. We always aim to provide something for everyone and we’re confident that the new look casino will not disappoint.”

As part of the relaunch celebrations, Grosvenor Casinos is giving away £10,000 and hosting a Sports Showcase Night on Mar. 25 where the eagerly anticipated Anthony Crolla versus Jorge Linares fight will be shown.

Then on the weekend of Apr. 1-2, the celebrations culminate with a relaunch weekend where there is an array of entertainment from the local community. Over the past couple of months, Grosvenor Casino Nottingham has, in partnership with The Nottingham Post, run a talent competition looking for the best musical, creative and performing arts talent that Nottingham offers.

The finalists of this completion are set to perform at the Intu Victoria Shopping Centre in front of an audience and panel of judges with the winning acts chosen to perform at the grand reopening night and receive £2,500.
