  • "OMGsete" was one of the big winners in the Sunday Majors held on Feb. 6.

The $120,000 Whale tournament returned to 888poker this weekend following the successful Super XL Series and it was a player with a Union Jack next to their name who came out on top, outlasting a field of 299 players.

“OMGsete” turned $600 into $32,688 by navigating their way through 298 opponents. The UK almost had two players seated at the final table but “preyondaline” fell in 12th place for a $2,534 score.

Another Britain-based player reaching an 888poker final table was “aIderdaider” who finished eighth from 731 in the $120,000 Mega Deep and collected $3,216 while Christopher “nigdawg” Brammer finished sixth in the $50,000 Crocodile and banked $2,779 for his $160 investment.

In the $25,000 Sunday Tornado, “THEKIDM8” triumphed after topping a field of 214 to get his hands on $6,127.

Over to PokerStars now where “sekk3r” reached the final table of the $215 Sunday Million, eventually falling in fourth place for $51,717. Earlier on Sunday, Netherlands' Erik “Popiedejopie” van den Berg finished fifth in the $109 Sunday Starter for $2,005 and Ireland’s “mob450” collected $4,305 for their sixth place finish in the $109 Sunday Kickoff.

The nine-handed final table of the Big $109 had five British players at it. There were:

  • “dogracer2” – fourth place for $9,459

  • “Fear1sWisdom” – sixth place for $4,890
  • “PrettyVinnie” – eighth place for $2,528
  • “alwaysnice” – ninth place for $1,817

Sheffield’s Rick “ThEcLaiMEer” Trigg walked away with $2,315 for his seventh place finish in the Hot $162, “JJDeebo” won $4,818 for their eighth place finish in the $700 Super-Sized Sunday and “pAtcAsh83” finished fourth in the $109 Bounty Builder for $6,723.

Lithuanian Irish resident Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas won the $109 Bubble Rush for $9,329, with Rhys “floppinhel” Jones falling in the Hot $109 for $1,371 and Sebastian “Bassysaffari” Saffari banking a cool $21,108 for his third place finish in the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO.

Lastly for PokerStars results, a shout out to the Irish player and three Brits who reached the final table of the Big $215. “monksland” of Ireland finished second for $18,321, Jamie “Ship It 2010” O’Conner fell in fifth place for $7,002, “10111420” crashed out in sixth place for $5,081 and Javier “minusth3bear” Zarco was the eighth place finisher, a finish worth $2,676.

The partypoker Powerfest drew to a conclusion this weekend with some huge events and Matthew “eardleym” Eardley managed to grab $34,931 by finishing third in the $300,000 Gtd High Roller. Unfortunately for our players, none of them navigated their way to the final tables of the Main Events or the $1 million guaranteed Super High Roller.
