Another Sunday has been and gone taking with it the high hopes of many poker players from the United Kingdom and Ireland but also leaving several of our grinders with sizeable scores in their online poker accounts.
One player, “Eric77112”, reached a brace of final tables in PokerStars’ high stakes Sunday tournaments. A fourth-place finish in the $1,050 Sunday Grand netted him $13,740.03 before he finished fourth in the $109 Sunday Cooldown for an additional $8,832.90; Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi bust from the Sunday Grand PLO in fifth place for $10,256.12.
Also at PokerStars, current Irish number one ranked player Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson collected $1,160.73 for his seventh-place finish in the Hot $162, while “thebighache” fell in seventh-place in the $215 Bounty Builder for a $3,042.33 addition to his bankroll.
One of the biggest cashes at PokerStars this weekend went to “acemaKerface” who won the $215 Sunday Warm-Up after a heads-up chip. The deal and win netted them a cool $56,509.48.
Another player finding themselves in the winner’s circle was “deivid29” who emerged victorious in the Hot $162 for $16,075.26, the same tournament that “I Play Cash” bust in ninth-place for $1,263.53, while “Gandalf MR” took down the $109 Bubble Rush and walked away with $10,809.77.
Lastly for results from PokerStars, Ireland’s Gary “comegethappy” McGinty banked $7,492.67 after finishing fourth in the Hot $215 and “b00552805” fell in fifth-place in the $109 Sunday Wrap-Up and collected $2,742.33.
Over at Partypoker, UK-player “carmen.1957” finished as the runner-up in the $109 Main Event, winning $19,426.15 of the $164,100 prize pool. It was an impressive result but one blown out of the water by the $47,392.12 won by Thomas “Airdraken” Clack who took down the $215 Title Fight.
A shout-out too to Rick “tHeCaImEr1” Trigg who finished in fourth-place in the $109 Weigh-In and banked $4,963.
Finally, over to 888poker where “TheM3anGr33n” won the $30,000 Sunday Lightning 6-max for $7,843, where “lrdvoldemort” finished eighth in the $80,000 Sunday Challenge, a tournament that “badmodafoka1” won outright for $16,217.25.
