Leeds’ Super Casino Set For Grand Opening Jan. 26
The largest casino in the north of England and Scotland, the Victoria Gate Casino, is set to open its doors to the public on Jan. 26 in what the venue’s director calls a “glittering launch event.”
Victoria Gate Casino is the third-largest casino in the United Kingdom, the Global Gaming Ventures venue only trails the Aspers-owned casino in Stratford, London and the recently opened Resorts World Birmingham, which is owned by Genting. Once open, the Leeds casino will feature a poker room with more than 100 seats, 140 slot machines, 80 electronic gaming terminals and a 24-table live gaming zone.
In addition to gambling facilities, Victoria Gate Casino boasts of bars and restaurants.
Patrick Noakes, Venue Director, said: “Leeds has never seen an entertainment destination like this before. We can’t wait for people to step through the doors and see the spectacular space for themselves. It’s a game-changer – not just for casino fans but for the city as a whole. Victoria Gate Casino will strengthen Leeds’ already diverse entertainment, dining and nightlife offering and will provide so much more than just gaming. Our three distinct venues – Live Bar, Curve and V Restaurant – will play a pivotal role in that. Live Bar and Curve have attracted partnerships with Molson Coors and Moët and Chandon to provide a top quality drinks menu whilst V Restaurant will put the best regional produce at the heart of its offering.
“More details of the casino’s glittering launch event will be revealed nearer the time – watch this space,” added Noakes.
The Live Bar is sure to be a hit with sports fans as it features wall-to-wall screens displaying the latest sporting events from around the world, while Curve is a champagne, cocktail and craft beer bar overlooking the casino floor.
With 50,000 square feet of space, the new casino has a capacity of 1,400 and instantly becomes one of the biggest entertainment venues in Leeds.
