A tournament of this magnitude attracts the world’s best online poker players as they lock horns in an attempt to get their hands on a first place prize in excess of $40,000. This week’s Title Fight saw 1,281 players participate, creating a $256,200 prize pool. Over at 888poker, two British players navigated their way to the final table of the $100,000 Mega Deep. Richard “ChipsFool” Hoadley saw their tournament end with a seventh place finish worth $4,166.50 with Sebastian “iknowmybody” Saffari falling in fifth place and adding $6,845.88 to his bankroll.
In the $30,000 Turbo Mega Deep, “HappyHour4U” claimed the $5,797 second place prize, while Ben “TopBeaver69” Spraggons collected $4,312.56 for their fifth place finish in the $70,000 Sunday Challenge.
There were also a handful of big scores from tournaments held at PokerStars this Sunday, including the $12,792.10 that “alwaysnice” banked after finishing third in the $109 Sunday Kickoff. While alwaysnice was busy battling away, Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor was bulldozing his way to fifth place in the $215 Bounty Builder, a finish worth $4,863.14.
Two-time Sunday Million champion, Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion, finished eighth in the Big $109 for $2,561.14 while “ComeUpstairs” finished third in the $109 Bounty Builder and walked away with an $8,809.56 addition to his bankroll.
“PULGUITO” took down the $109 Bubble Rush for $10,291.20, a tournament that saw “SmellyToes4u” and “pAtcAsh83” finish sixth and eighth for scores of $2,071.22 and $1,090.79.
In the pot-limit Omaha edition of the $1,050 Sunday Grand, “Ahhh Is It?” fell in ninth place for $5,659.74 while “Kashmir_uzi” bust five places later and secured a $13,149.97 payout, while in the Big $215. “com 157” finished in sixth place for $5,136.22 and “beginner27” won $21,722.97 for their runner-up finish after a heads-up deal.
Completing the Sunday Briefing for another week is the third place finish in the $215 Sunday Supersonic for “googleit185” worth $14,954.25, the third place finish in the Hot $215 by “TheMuppet” worth $9,784.28 and the fifth place finish in the Hot $215 by “royalstixx” that was worth $5,152.79.
