The Title Fight is Partypoker’s flagship tournament, running at 7:00 p.m. every Sunday, costing $215 to buy into and guaranteeing at least $250,000 will be won.

A tournament of this magnitude attracts the world’s best online poker players as they lock horns in an attempt to get their hands on a first place prize in excess of $40,000. This week’s Title Fight saw 1,281 players participate, creating a $256,200 prize pool. While it wasn’t a player from the United Kingdom or Ireland who walked away with the $43,022.13 top prize, Sheffield’s Rick “tHeClaImEr1” Trigg did reach the final table, falling in fifth place for a $12,681.90 Christmas bonus.

Also enjoying a five-figure score at partypoker this week was Oliver “ThreeBunPass” Price who finishes as runner-up in the $50,000 Gtd 6-Max Turbo High Roller, turning $530 into $10,140 in slightly more than two-and-a-half hours.

There were also a handful of big scores from tournaments held at PokerStars this Sunday, including the $12,792.10 that “alwaysnice” banked after finishing third in the $109 Sunday Kickoff. While alwaysnice was busy battling away, Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor was bulldozing his way to fifth place in the $215 Bounty Builder, a finish worth $4,863.14.
