  • Ireland's Toby Joyce won $51,000 by taking down the Sunday Warm-Up at PokerStars this weekend.

Ireland’s Toby “sadface11” Joyce secured his second-largest online poker tournament score this weekend when he topped a field of 1,778 in the $215 Sunday Warm-Up at PokerStars.

Joyce walked away with $51,000 exactly for his $215 investment thanks to a heads-up deal with Brazil’s “tianastacia1” who banked $41,111.84. Joyce’s fellow Irishman “INormaJean” finished eighth in the same tournament for $5,323.18.

Also at PokerStars, “psek1” won the Big $109 and secured a $22,552.64 payday after a heads-up chop. Two other British players, namely “Kashmir_uzi” and “trickyone14” finished fifth and sixth in the same tournament and collected scores of $6,749.53 and $4,852.97 respectively.

The aforementioned Joyce wasn’t the only Irish champion this Sunday because Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson collected the $15,202.85 first place prize of the Hot $162. This win should put some distance between Wilson and the chasing pack in the Irish online poker rankings.

“el kudos” of the UK reached the final table of the $215 Sunday Million, but fell in seventh place for $17,130.20 while “pilsuhng” was the runner-up in the Hot $109 for $13,034.96, a tournament that Ireland’s Marc “14alonso14” Macdonnell finished third in for $9,372.25.

In the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE, UK-based Salman “salfshb” Behbehani fell in eighth place for $7,312.65 with “Jace1d” winning the Big $215 for $24,568.03 outlasting Ireland's “Renniecup” (fourth for $9,389.21) and “nayavtaar” (seventh for $3,588.37).

Lastly for PokerStars results, “Quellek” finished in sixth place in the $109 Sunday Kickoff for a $4,104 addition to their bankroll.

There were two of our players at the final table of the $120,000 Whale at 888poker this Sunday. Irishman “tomaxnxamot” saw his run end in seventh place for $5,398.57 with “carpediem14” busting one place later for $6,941.02.

“ckb4714” won the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep and collected $7,937.63 after a three-way chop, with “plizmuck” winning $9,098.89 for their third place finish in the $80,000 Sunday Challenge.
