Ludovic Geilich and Jason Tompkins
Sharelines
  • Ludovic Geilich and Jason Tompkins put in some impressive online poker tournament results.

  • Patrick Leonard still ranked number one in the UK online poker rankings.

Patrick “pleno1” Leonard prepared for the European Poker Tour Malta festival in style by signing off his online antics with a victory on the site that he is an ambassador for, Partypoker.

Leonard won the $50,000 Gtd 6-Max High Roller for a $15,996 score in perfect preparation for the live grind. This win helped keep a gap between himself and Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford in the PocketFives.com rankings.

Beresford also looks in good form having reached the final table of seven tournaments during the past seven days. Beresford’s two largest scores from these final table appearances weighed in at $4,176 an $3,777, his reward for finishing sixth in the Mini Super Tuesday and second in the $320 NLHE 6-Max.

Up to sixth-place in the UK this week is Ludovic “ludovi333” Geilich. The Scotsman is in great form of late, winning a WCOOP event for more than $462,000 and then enjoying several big scores and deep runs in October so far, such as:

  • 1st place in the Super Tuesday Late Edition for $14,484
  • 3rd place in the $109 Bounty Builder for $5,085
  • 3rd place in the Big $215 for $5,470
  • 3rd place in the Omania High Roller for $5,233
  • 3rd place in the Fat Thursday for $8,858
  • 6th place in the Super Tuesday for $15,865
  • 1st place in the $320 NLHE 6-Max for $6,380
  • 2nd place in the Omania High Roller for $8,956

Solid Week For Jason Tompkins

It was a relatively quiet week for the top 20 players in Ireland, although there were some impressive results dotted around.

Some of those results were enjoyed by Jason “blaaaaah666” Tompkins who managed to win three tournaments last week. Tompkins came out on top in the $15,000 Gtd Contender at partypoker ($2,562), The Hot €50 at PokerStars.fr ($1,552), and the $5,000 Thunder 6-Max at 888poker ($1,444) in the space of a couple of days, then followed those scores up with a third-place finish in the $15,000 Gtd Super Knockout at partypoker for $1,038.

Another player in the winner’s circle is also a newcomer to the Irish top 20, “Pokerniall.” The Dubliner won the Hot $11 and $27 Saturday Eliminator at PokerStars for $5,417 and $8,342 scores; "Pokerniall" debuts at 18th in Ireland.

At the top of the Irish leaderboard it is still Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson who leads the way, but Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen closed the gap a little with a fifth-place finish in the $55 Sunday Stack at PokerStars, a result worth $3,337.
