UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: New Name in the UK Top 20

UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings

  • Who are the top 20 online poker tournament players from the United Kingdom and Ireland?

Much of the focus of the poker community is fixated on the goings on in Barcelona where the massive European Poker Tour is taking place, yet there is still plenty of action happening closer to home on the various online poker sites, where players from the United Kingdom and Ireland are helping themselves to some big scores.

There is a new name in the top 20 of the UK standings since updated their database. In 18th place, you find the name “pkace666” who seems to have hit a purple patch during August judging by the sheer number of four-figure scores they have enjoyed.

Pkace666 was the runner-up in the PokerStars Thursday Thrill on August 18 for a $20,904 addition to their bankroll, which also happens to be their second-largest online cash at PokerStars. We will look out for more of pkace666’s results in the coming weeks.

Still at the top of the UK rankings, and still bossing it at the virtual felt, is Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who won the partypoker High Roller for $7,840 and then the $109 NLHE 6-Max Hyper-Turbo at PokerStars for an additional $3,528.

Brighton’s Phil “philroyal888” Mighall is determined not to let Beresford get too far ahead of him and responded with a brace of victories of his own: Mighall won the $80,000 Whale at 888poker for $18,856 then the $109+R NHLE Turbo at PokerStars for $4,552.

James Noonan Climbs to Fourth Place in Ireland

There has not been much change in the Irish standings this week as it seems a large percentage have either taken the week off, or are plying their trade at EPT Barcelona judging by a lack of big results.

One player, however, James “Jaymo” Noonan, has been crushing souls at the online tables, and climbs to fourth place in the Irish rankings as a result. Some of Noonan’s results from the past seven days include:

  • Third place in the PokerStars Hot $82 for $1,412
  • First place in the 6-Max Club for $777
  • Second place in the partypoker $500 Gtd for $118
  • First place in the partypoker Drago for $2,825
  • First place in the Big €100 for $1,609
  • Second place in the Big €30 for $677
  • Fourth place in the Night on Stars for $1,400

Also enjoying a decent score was Conor “ccoonnoorr” O’Driscoll who banked $2,992 when he finished fourth in the PokerStars Big $109 on August 22.
