UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Davey Enters Irish Top 10

Daragh Davey
Sharelines
  • Daragh Davey returns to the top 10 of the Irish online poker rankings.

There has been something of a reshuffle of the Irish online poker rankings after the last PocketFives.com update, with a well-known pro falling out of the top 20 to be replaced with a new face, and Daragh “daragh999” Davey climbing into the top 10.

Davey enjoyed more than three dozen cashes last week, including winning the awesomely names “Bang! And The Stack Is Gone!” on the MPN for $1,527. Davey navigated his way to more than 10 final tables, including third place finishes in the $6,000 Thunder 6-Max at 888poker, and the €2,000 guaranteed at Titanbet Poker.

Cathal “shinerrr” Shine is also back in the top 10 thanks to a couple of fantastic results during the past week. Shine finished second in the partypoker $25,000 High Roller KO Edition for $6,180 and followed that up with a runner-up finish in the PokerStars $320 Saturday KO for a cool $12,267.

Dropping out of the Irish top 20 this week is the former Team PokerStars Pro Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth, who is now ranked 21st in the Emerald Isle. Replacing Ainsworth is Dublin’s Kamal “AceOfShamrocks” Singh who has a shade over $855,000 in online tournament winnings.

Big Scores For UK’s Top Three

Each of the players occupying the top three places in the United Kingdom’s standings banked big scores this week, meaning the rankings look much like they did seven days ago.

Current number one, Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford was the runner-up in a partypoker High Roller for $8,510, while Chris “moorman1” Moorman won the PokerStars $109 Bounty Builder for $14,809 then finished eighth in the partypoker $150,000 High Roller for an additional $4,563.

Phil “philroyal888” Mighall boosted his bankroll with a runner-up finish in the PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder for $5,050, a seventh place finish in the Super Tuesday worth $10,814, and a win in the partypoker $50,000 High Roller for $17,052.

Shout out also to Rick “TheClaimer” Trigg who has won five tournaments in the past nine days in addition to his seven other final table appearances, five of which were top three finishes.
