Sunday Briefing: Ollie Price Reaches Three Sunday Major Final Tables

  • Oliver Price had a superb Sunday at the virtual felt, reaching the final table of three major events.

There were some excellent results for players calling the United Kingdom and Ireland home in the latest round of online poker’s Sunday majors, so without further ado, let’s get the Sunday Briefing on a roll and see who won big this week.

“S.Dearman” was one of the biggest winners of the weekend thanks to triumphing in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up. The tournament ended in a three-way chop, with S.Dearman going on to win overall and bank $43,453.41.

Ben “Fabaz” Farrell and “-DBAXT-“ reached the same final table, falling in fifth and seventh-place for scores of $13,566.58 and $7,144.70.

Earlier on Sunday, “Ultraballs18” took down the $109 Sunday Starter for $5,587.78, Andy “andyafc#1” Laurie finished second in the Big $162 for $3,751.73, and “AJFC6819” was the sixth-place finisher in the $109 Sunday Kickoff for $3,724.61.

Also at PokerStars, Chris “Moorman1” Moorman was the runner-up in the $215 Bounty Builder for $10,250.06, with both “C12SLY” (third for $17,691.99) and “carpediem200” (sixth for $7,116.63) reaching the final table of the $700 Super-Sized Sunday.

Shout outs to Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor who finished fifth in the Hot $109 for $5,442.92, to Craig “mcc3991” McCorkell who finished sixth in the Sunday Grand NLHE for $13,318.29, and to Ollie “ollie_p” Price who was the runner-up in the Sunday Grand PLO for $23,601.20, the first of his three final table appearances.

Joining Price at that particular final table were “ZhipOHoy” and Owain “sngwonder” Carey who finished in seventh and ninth-place for scores of $7,326.82 and $5,659.74.

Lastly for the PokerStars action, a mention of the fifth-place finish of “fulham1212” in the Hot $215, which was worth $5,044.82.

To 888poker now where Oliver “ThreeBunPass” Price was the winner of the $80,000 Baby Whale for $16,345.09 after a heads-up chop, and where Jono “Spyver” Beck finished fourth in the $100,000 Mega Deep for a $9,735 addition to his bankroll.

“SeRG3nT” won the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep for $8,875.30, Christopher “nigdawg” Brammer banked the $6,688.12 third-place prize in the $50,000 Sunday Crocodile, while four Brits final tabled the $80,000 Sunday Challenge.

Scott “AggroSantos” Margereson won it for $16,12.75 with “3thereal” finishing fourth for $6,473.10 and Raven “ravenbyrne” Jet Byrne falling in fourth-place for $4,531.17. “sbesty13” was the sixth-place finisher, which was worth $3,668.09.

Over at partypoker, Oliver “ThreeBunPass” Price almost took down the $2,600 Super High Roller, but fell in second-place to secure a $28,125 payout, while partypoker ambassador Patrick “tiote22” Leonard promised to get a henna tattoo of his sponsors logo at EPT Barcelona if he won the $530 High Roller, something he doesn’t have to do now because he bust in fifth-place for $9,516.25.

Sam "sammy_squid” Grafton helped himself to the $4,125 seventh-place prize in the $150,000 Guaranteed Main Event, which this week overlaid by $5,300, and finished third in the $50,000 Weigh-In for $5,820, while Ian “Simpioni” Simpson continued his hot run at partypoker by winning a Mazagan 10 High Roller package worth $13,000.
